......they haven't been fed for a year when you go to feed them?
As you may know, I have six dogs, and when it comes to feeding time....they are the most obnoxious dogs in the world. A stranger viewing my feeding process would think I hadn't fed them in a month...or a year!
I take out an aluminum baking tray that I get at the 99c Only Store and add two scoops of Beneful Chow. As soon the chow hits the aluminum, I now have 4-5 dogs at my feet. I now work my way over to the can opener where I open two cans of dog food. This is when the howling begins. I already know that yelling at them does no good, and it will continue until they are fed. So I get out the two round bowls that two of my girls eat from, and one plate where the Daddy eats out of. I mix 1.5 cans into the chow and give the other half can to the Daddy's plate which already has chow on the plate. Same with the bowls for my two daughters. I then scoop two handfuls from the aluminum tray and put it in the bowls.
The chocolate Lab, Sugarbear, then runs to her bed and howls to get fed. Three of the other dogs run for the door as they get fed outside. When they go outside, I shut the door behind them and put the daddy's plate down for him to eat. I then take the two bowls out for my daughters and put them on the living room floor.
Once they start eating there is peace again in the world. What an ordeal!
