Health Insurance Costs

Today, the day before election day, was the first day of open enrollment for my Health Care insurance. As a retired employee with 30+ years service, I receive a subsidy of $856.72 per month. Even with that subsidy, the cost of the least expensive Bronze plans is rising from $552.35 to $732.93 per month --- almost 33%

Thank you President Obama!

Remember, not a single Republican voted for Obamacare and President Obama said health care should not cost more than a mobile phone bill.......I guess President Obama does quite a bit of sexting if he is paying more than $700 per month for his mobile phone bill!

Obeyme has been and still is a liar. The brain dead who voted for this thing are going to foot the bill for his health insurance the remainder of his life , that is, if any of them ever get a job and pay taxes.
77% of Obamacare customers have net premiums under $100 per month.

And if you have pre-existing conditions, without Obamacare you wouldn't be able to find coverage at any cost. Thanks Obama!

So of the ~10 million people still on Obamacare, roughly 8 million folks pay less than $100 per month after tax credits. The other ~2 million folks will see 44% higher Obamacare premiums and the other 300 million citizens in the country subsidize it all through a "stealth tax" with increased health care premiums. Illegal immigrants continue to get free health care through medicaid or just by showing up at an emergency room. Sounds like an income redistribution ponzi scheme to me.

That's your first (but not only) lie according to YOUR source in the link YOU provided. Why don't you correct that and we'll continue this chit-chat.
So who does forky think the money is coming from to cover the cost of keeping premiums under $100?
We just had our open enrollment meeting. No increases! Very similar prices to jphelan's current pricing. Glad it's not the new pricing.

Definitely not Donald Trump.
The premium is for two people. Is ten dollars a day really too much for you to insure your families health?
How long until you can go on Medicare?
That's the real log jam. They should lower the age for Medicare to 55.
Then again as I explained in another thread, simply reduce your taxable income low enough to qualify for Obama care. Does your spouse work?
Why not have her file separately? It's a new world out there Adapt or perish.
A premium does not equate to the cost of insurance. A premium plus the government subsidy does equal the cost of insurance. Forkie assured us that this total cost would shrink. Boiler assured all that this total cost would skyrocket.

We all know who was correct. Forkie now wishes to change the subject.
