Heavy bummage.........I was forced to cancel my Vegas Labor Day trip

As some know, I'm in the process of moving from Indy to Minneapolis. I completed at reconnaissance mission to the area yesterday, and learned that town home/apartment rentals in my chosen nearby Wisconsin town are hard to come by. I've found a place to live for the first year, but unfortunately can't move in until September 2 or 3 (was hoping to move in on August 22). I begin work at the Chicago headquarters September 6, and was supposed to be in Vegas September 1-4. As they say, "It's not in the cards."

This is our group's 33rd annual "Laboring in Las Vegas Trip", and it'll be the third that I've missed. I was looking forward to staying in my friends 1980 square foot Renaissance Suite at the Venetian.

I'll see pictures instead.

That truly sucks. You also sound like you have been the main organizing person or at least one of them. Lastly, you are missing out at the Venetian, which is a great hotel.
I've planned each trip the past 33 years..............including those missed. With my cancellation, they will still have 13 guys and they'll have a riot.

I'm quite disappointed, but Vegas will still be there. Thanks for the nice post, Roulette.

Not that poor old DonDiego is planning a visit, . . . but is it Minneapolis or Chicago?

I'm moving to Minneapolis (actually western Wisconsin), and my sales territory will include Minnesota, and parts of Wisconsin and Iowa. These silly people are leaving me to my own devices as their only Minnesota based employee. More supervision is likely prudent.

To clarify, the company is headquartered in the NW suburbs of Chicago. I'll be there for a week of fun and games prior heading back to Minneapolis. Cancelling Vegas for work seems like some sort of ethics violation.
