Help finding a new wrench

I was watching the Discovery Channel show "Gold Rush" last night and one of the people repairing an excavator asked someone to hand him an adjustable metric wrench. I've got standard ones and they've been OK so far, but since you never know when something will be metric I figured I might as well pick one up. I tried to find them at the usual places like Sears or Lowe's but neither of them have it. If anyone knows of a good source for these, especially if they also have a left-handed version, it would be appreciated.
You have to special order them. They are not readily available in this country.

Amazon sells them. I have some Irwin tools and have no complaints.

I read this thread because I thought you mis-spelled "Wench" in your topic title.

Drats!

He was F'n with him, kinda in the spirit of "hand me that metric hammer, these muffler bearings are giving me a hard time".
It's just a plain Ol' adjustable wrench AKA crescent wrench, but can be used to hammer off muffler bearings if you turn the head around

Gold rush was one of the shows we always watched but have let up a bit. I knew a lot of it was scripted but it seems like its gotten pretty bad lately, some of the lines they give those guys were getting to be so predictable and not sold very well either. I've grown pretty tired of hearing the words "GLORY HOLE", I suppose it would make for an awesome drinking game tho
I had the it on the TV last night but was playing a game on my tablet at teh same time so I missed the metric wrench part.

You might get away with using an SAE adjustable wrench on a metric bolt but you run the risk of rounding off the edges.
I have a complete set of metric adjustable wrenches. I also have metric pipe wrenches too. I don't use them much anymore. I can sell you the whole set for $800. I know this is double what a new set of standard adjustable wrenches would cost but they're METRIC, so they cost more.
Great deal. I take Pay Pal.
If anyone is also looking for those difficult to find LEFT handed screw drivers, I have a almost new set, including flat, phillips, and torque I'd be willing to sell "cheap". I think there are 18 of each type.
