The folks here have plenty of help to offer, but you really need to be more specfic. Your budget, what you like to play, what you like to eat, ect, ect. The more specfic your questions, the better information you'll get. all we know is you are going to Vegas and don't like bars and clubs. Thats not nearly enough to be of much help to you.
Bob, I would highly suggest you pay for the membership for the lva, get the member rewards book and use the forums on the paid side. Read the trip reports too. Memebers tend to be a bit less snarky on the paid side imho. In my last trip I saved $1300.00 using the mrb and the American casino guide. Read other members trip reports to get some ideas of sure you would like to go and what you would like to see. You can find a huge amount of Vegas info here on lva.
Bob here is how you do the $20 trick. Walk up to the video poker bar of any casino (preferably after 11:00 pm) be sure to identify any single ladies sitting at the bar. Sit down next to one you like, whip out your $20 bill, hold it up and say to her I am here for the $20 trick.

I would stay at Sahara, take the tram from the airport to downtown, eat twinkies and hotdogs all day at Mermaids, rent a car from friendly Fox Rent a Car, play a few hands at Frontier, make a couple sports bets at Lady Luck, enjoy a Terrible's buffet, and use the extensive amount of matchplays from the MRB.
