Help with Total Rewards Card

Haven't been to Vegas in a few years so I am back down to a gold card - used my buddy's card number with mine to get my rooms but he is not coming. It now states the other person must be there at check-in as well. Are they really following through with this? Any help is appreciated!

They never used to check at all. Our last two visits, both at the Rio, they checked. I was parking the car on one of the trips and my wife was told to wait for me before they could check her in. Results may vary at another property but expect the worst.

Thanks so much! Bally's is where I am staying on this trip. A few years ago we use to give each other our numbers to help get the free rooms and they never checked. I might have to rebook with just mine to avoid the headache when I get down there.
