I find it quite disturbing that you kept copies of her photos.

But lots of us find this kind of debunking stuff fun. There's a very popular website dedicated to it. Maybe you've heard of it: snopes.com. And there's lots of people who enjoy ferreting out the fake Amazon reviews, fake "likes" on Facebook, plagiarism [cough hoops], and other scammery on the net. And amateur forensics is fun; they ought to make a TV show about it.

And face it, if you thought that treegirl was a hairy old guy, which he might very well be, you wouldn't be so sympathetic.
