High Rise Condo Rental

My husband and I are considering moving to Las Vegas, I am not sure I want to move there so i suggested renting a high rise condo for awhile just to see if we really want to move there. He likes the Panorama North ( why are the so expensive?) and I guess you can rent them for a minimium of 3 months, does anyone know how much that will cost to rent for 3 months? Or is there a better place to rent? We don't want to be towards downtown. I think the Trump is as far as we would go.
Living practically on the Strip for 3 months will not give you any idea of what it's like to live in Vegas. You should rent a place in a "neighborhood" if you're trying to decide whether to move here. Living here is nothing like vacationing here. Most locals never go to the Strip, unless they have out-of-town visitors to show around. There are many rentals for around $800-$1,000 per month in town, in decent neighborhoods. Not high rises, but then, why would you want a high rise? It's better to live in a community where you can know your neighbors and get a taste of "real life" in Vegas.
Agree with above poster. I guess it depends on what you can afford and the lifestyle you want. Correct me if I'm wrong, but, if you are interested in renting a condo at Panorama North, you are looking at retirement and have some serious coin. Regardless of where you decide to move, check out the area, and make sure its an area you want to live in.
Sue is spot on. It won't take you long after sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the 15 in the middle of the afternoon or trying to cross the Strip at Flaming to quickly hate the Strip! LOL

We still go for dinner and shows periodically so that's the price you pay for having great restaurants and entertainment nearby. However, I wouldn't want to live in the throes of it.

I've lived in Desert Shores (northwest; adjacent to Summerlin) and presently south of the Strip near South Point. There are pro's and con's to both areas and there are numerous other areas that one would feel equally pleased and safe in. Unless I was working on the Strip, I'm not sure I'd consider Panorama....no "neighborhood"....nice looking places and good Strip proximity location but certainly not a retirement feel.

Just my two cents....
