I'm definitely in the camp that company's should be taxed/punished whatever you want to call it to discourage them from relocating to other country's for tax purposes. Better yet, make it more attractive to stay here in the first place.

BTW the whole theory of the exit plan thing by boiler doesn't make much sense, why would anyone build a plant here if they planned to exit in the next 5-10-20 years?

Why plan have an exit plan? Seriously? Some businesses you can get into for five million dollars, and if it doesn't work out you can sell the assets for 4,000,000 million dollars. The next business you might be able to enter for the same $5,000,000, yet only retrieve 1 million on an exit. All other things being equal, which plan to go with?
