Two Suffern, NY men are suing NJ because they threw away a 1 million dollar ticket claiming the lottery were too slow in posting the winning numbers. If they win this then yes, all hope is lost.

Nobody is responsible for their own actions or ignorance any more.

I guess this will be a new sentence or paragraph written on all future tickets, that the buyer of the ticket is responsible for cashing a ticket before the deadline.

Talk about frivilous.Reminds me of a news item I heard the other day.Some woman is suing Detroit for $450 million bucks because she lives near an incinerator and claims the toxins coming from the smoke stack is causing young girls to grow large breasts.

They have some proof that they bought the ticket. From the little written in the article, my assumption is that the lottery folks know the winning ticket was purchased at this store and what time it was purchased. The people suing claim have the tickets purchased just before and just after the winning ticket was sold. Just not the winning ticket. Seems like a fairly solid case to me.

There is an incinerator in the downtown area,but I'm not sure if this is the one she was talking about.Don't have the article any more.
