My preferred place to stay is the Golden Nugget. It's reasonably priced for me, clean and nice, plus I can walk a few blocks to Fremont East Entertainment District. This area has a bunch of great restaurants and bars where I can get a good drink for $6, and a great meal for $50. Equal quality on the strip costs at minimum 100% more.
