My parents left my sister and me for a week when she was 18 and I was 17. Yes, we had a party. Yes, there were over 100 drunk kids there. Yes, her 25 year old low-life boyfriend punched me in the face and there was a big fight in which I was knocked out. Yes, the cops were invoved. Yes (and to this day, decades later) my parents never learned of the epic party but never understood how we were so clumsy to inadvertently break so much stuff that one week they were gone.

Way to go!! A sign of a great party. Police presence.

Although it only happened twice(the cops showing up anyway), I found it kinda put a damper on the party. It was kinda funny one time, guys scattered out the back door and of course the cops where there waiting. Nothing ever came of that one, just had to pour all the booze out. Like I said, put a damper on things

They must have gotten the letter about Vegas being an adult playground.
My mom and step dad left us home alone back in the 60's to go to Vegas for a week. My older sister was 11?' me 9?, youngerst sister 7ish. Neighbors keeping an eye on us. We survived. It was different back then though.

So much for our war on not bringing kids along to Vegas with you.
I know when we were there over Christmas there were so many children I'll never go. Ack that time of year.
