Home Depot Rollng out Red Carpet for Sharia Law

Home Depot Rollng out Red Carpet for Sharia Law. This is posted back in march but just wanted to see how many people seen this.
I don't see that that is rolling out the carpet for Sharia Law. Sensitivity training is not a bad thing. There are certain cultural differences when dealing with Muslims and it's better to teach the employees. Because if HD doesn't teach them and Lowe's does, then Lowe's will get the Muslim money.
"Furthermore, the right hand is not to be used for cleaning oneself after defecating or when touching one's penis."
Ref: Laws of Islam Concerning Ritual Purity and Cleanliness

"Muhammad says Muslims should eat only with the right hand, not with the left hand."
Ref: Laws of Islam Concerning Food

Not a bad policy that.

They never heard of washing their hands (both of them) after using the bathroom?

I got plenty of mandatory yearly sensitivity training during my 34 years in the Fed.
I don't recall specific religious instructions, and we had many Muslim employees, mainly physicians.

Our policies addressed general expectation of respectful behavior toward persons of all races, religions, etc. If questions about any practice or request (dress, special days off, etc.) arose, they were addressed individually by the departments involved, to assure fairness while not negatively impacting patient care.

It would have been untenable to put specific practices of every religion into policy.

Nothing prohibits Muslims from washing their hands.

However, the passages which DonDiego quoted concerning Cleanliness and Food are not suggestions, . . . they are Laws. And violation of Islamic Laws can have serious consequences:
"When another person told Muhammad that he was unable to eat with his right hand, Muhammad prayed that the person's right arm would become disabled so he could, in fact, not raise his hand to his mouth, and that is what happened.
Ref: Laws of Islam Concerning Food

It seems to poor old DonDiego that that Muhammed Fellow has a mean streak in Him.

DonDiego suspects the Laws pertaining to use of different hands for different purposes is actually intended to foster the development of ambidexterity in the Muslim population, so that, f'rinstance, one may more easily release the safety on one's Kalashnikov with either hand under stressful combat conditions.
Not a bad policy that. [Heaven knows if poor old DonDiego were required to use his left hand to wipe his ass, . . . well, . . . he'd be even less popular than he currently is; and that's saying' something!]

Obama and friends are not concerned with it being "untenable to put specific practices of every religion into policy." He is, however, concerned with political correctness and special privileges for those holding minority status.............unless that minority status happens to be Christianity.

Go Fighting Irish!
