Home Sweet Home/Bunker/Arms Factory/Firearms Museum & Reflecting Pool

I enjoyed learning today about a new master planned community in Idaho, The Citadel. According to its website, The Citadel will be a home for "patriotic Americans", a "martial endeavor designed to protect Residents in times of peril (natural or man-made)."

"Marxists, Socialists, Liberals and Establishment Republicans will likely find that life in our community is incompatible with their existing ideology and preferred lifestyles."

Sounds charming! And what a lovely master plan!

Some of the proposed CC&Rs require residents to:

— Be able to shoot a man-sized steel target at various distances with a handgun and a rifle;

— Keep on hand a AR-15 semi-automatic rifle variant, at least five magazines, 1,000 rounds of ammunition and other supplies;

— Take courses in areas such as basic medical care, firearms safety and marksmanship;

— Be armed with a loaded sidearm whenever visiting the Citadel's town center

If patriotic Americans flock to this and similar enclaves, it'll sure save FEMA the expense of building all those resettlement/re-education camps I keep hearing about.
I am one of the original developing partners.
I meet the requirements. Is there a golf course?
Why, that's jes' below Coeur d'Alene, . . . mighty purty up theh'. And good water outta the St. Joe River too.

It looks mighty appealin' to poor old DonDiego, . . . ceptin' it seems vulnerable to air assault. Well, . . .suppose one cannot have ever'thin'. Settin' up heh' on his ridgeline DonDiego is sorta vulnerable too.

DonDiego doesn't see a firing range either, . . . maybe it'll be outside the walls.

What's the lots goin' fer?

Oh, . . . incidently, . . .DonDiego's been lookin' on the internets for ammunition at his usual online discount outlets, . . . and there ain't hardly any ammunition available , . . . like none-at-all in .38 special, or 9mm, or .380ACP, . . . and precious little in .223 fer the rifle, . . . ceptin' some low grade Russkie-import crap that's as likely to blow-up and damage one's weapon as fire like it's s'posed to. It's like somebody's a-fixin' to commence fightin', . . . or sumpin'.

What a coincidence, this was just pointed out to me today by a fairly progressive thinking neighbor via FB(this guy also equates football to gladiator matches of old, you know, a true blood sport. Not kidding). I started reading the article about this "community" and it was ridiculous the author was a joke right off the bat. I went back and trudged thru it because my first attempt I just couldn't help but laugh, especially when the author wrote "and these people plan on breeding". Holy sh!t, they wanna breed!? God forbid! Then it goes on to trash Tomas Jefferson and some other nonsense. Now if you'll excuse me, have to go check the latest lines on my favorote bloodsport, er, I mean football. Oops, sorry, wrong group of people.
