Horseshoe Parking Garage Collapse

The new Horseshoe Casino in Cleveland now under construction has new parking garage collapse during construction. Here we go again with HET or CET building something. Not a very good track record. Cutting corners is the the best way to save on construction costs. How about a little more support like some of us construction worker suggested before puring the deck. No time and budget will not support that. Nor will your cheap ass construction methods hold concrete. No surprise here.

Thankfully no.

The saying "this would never happen downtown" wouldn't apply here.
Believe the Trop in AC had a similar problem a few years ago.

Just more evidence that State and local officials are all corrupt and should be eliminated and replaced by free enterprise. Tax breaks for millionaires!! Wars for oil!! Hurray!! If only the socialist media could be stopped from slandering all our best leaders!

A parking garage collapsed in Cleveland.

Now the Toledo Hollywood Casino will be the first in the State of Ohio to open. The casino is owned by Penn National that also recently bought the M Resort. The Casino is due to open April 2012.

Brad
DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A full investigation by Rock Ohio Caesars Construction Team, OHSA and City officials continues Monday to determine the cause of Friday's collapse of a section of the parking structure.

The team is analyzing the conditions at the site to determine the nature and extent of damage in the affected area. With permission from OSHA and the City of Cleveland, limited construction activities will resume on portions of the deck unaffected by the collapse.

To ensure worker safety, personnel will stay clear of areas directly below the deck forms as well as adjacent areas of the incident.

The structure is independent of Horseshoe Casino Cleveland, and the incident will not affect the opening of the casino in March 2012.

On Friday at approximately 3:30PM, a portion of the second level of the parking deck collapsed as concrete was being poured.

Fortunately, no workers were injured.

Yeah and I trust when I am at the blackjack table the roof doesn't collapse on me... How many people will avoid parking in the garage because they never know if it will fall to the ground.
