House of Blues, Las Vegas

I'm heading to Vegas for business on March 1. My boss just bought the two of us tickets to see "The Mad Bomber", Joe Walsh, at the HOB.

I've never been there. For shows such as this, are there assigned seats, or is it more like any open bar with a show going on? If there are no assigned seats, what time should we arrive to get a reasonable good view? Doors open at 6pm, and at this time I don't know what time the show starts.

Thanks y'all!
I believe they have two venues for entertainment...one is the restaurant area which has a stage. That's where they do the gospel brunch. They also have an actual concert hall with theatre like seating. seating will definitely be assigned for the former. I don't know how the big stage works
Assigned seats are usually on the second floor, though they might have a few booths on the main floor that can be reserved.
Most headliners don't go on anywhere near 6pm, so I'd call the club and ask them. If it's a residence run, check out the reviews.
I've seen several shows there and they all had warm-up bands.
Great, now I've got the beginning guitar riff of "Life's been Good" playing in my head!

Joe Walsh isn't performing at House of Blues in March. He isn't scheduled for Las Vegas at all during your visit. I think there might be an misunderstanding.

Regarding seating at House of Blues, with exception of splurging for VIP packages, all general admission is standing room only.

I went to see Santana there and purchased a VIP package which included dinner for two up in the Foundation Room, a bottle of wine, and some other swag. We had a reserved table we shared with two other people. There is a place in front of the stage where people get to stand the whole show. Then there are the tables surrounding that standing area. The reserved seats are in the balcony.

It's a private show.

The International Roofing Exposition. Now if that doesn't get your juices flowing, what will?

Best I can tell, we're in the "standing" crew, as Roulette mentioned. I've learned more since I first posted. It'll be fun, but I wish we were sitting in the VIP section that was mentioned.
Nice.
