house of fun (harrahs) vs myvegas (mgm)...are they the same?

So I received a random email from Total Rewards saying play the House of fun slots for rewards points, but yet I can't see if I am earning and how they convert, etc....it does say my name and that I am logged in, I followed the link to my facebook from the email.

So is it just automatically going to add real reward points....myvegas (mgm) earns prizes from the points you earn, not actual real comp points....I looked on their facebook and on the slot page itself and can't find any instructions, but do know that it says welcome (my name) so it knows who I am.

anyone else using these programs....which one do you like the best or both the same. I have cashed in a few comps from the myvegas, so while watching movies or football, it is worth it to click a slot a few times a day. But they don't seem to have any info. I don't want to play for fun, only if getting real cash value in return.

Anyone else playing similar programs...

thanks.
Harrah's is part of Caesars Entertainment. MyVegas is part of MGM Grand. I'll attest to the MyVegas points getting you comped rooms (except for the resort fee and tax on the resort fee). I'm not aware of the Harrahs or Caesars online game being good for anything other than merchandise.
sorry, tried twice to copy and paste, but not doing it.....it says....earn Reward Credits (tm, the trade mark thing) on facebook.....

also "total rewards earn your own way"....it is on a picture of the slots, then linked with here is a 1000 credits to start.

As far as I know (sometimes that isn't much) MyVegas you don't have to buy anything to earn LP's to use to purchase items. House of fun you have to pay real money to earn points .
lol, well that was short lived and a waste...I guess I'll figure how to delete it....it also posted to my facebook when I told it not to and won't delete, although I do have it locked to only me, not friends. Glad I didn't share this info with anyone yet. bummer. I love free stuff!

Either I am not doing it right or they sent a completely false email. but I looked for "rules" in the slot itself and didn't find any. but the email completely says earn "real points" for playing this slot. Now harrahs is in the doghouse. I completely fell for it because I just assumed they were finally copying mgm. I only did the mgm after a person told me they cashed in for real cirque shows....and i know those are not free flowing. fyi, for a testimony, I also cashed out for Love tickets and the knight dinner at excal with the myvegas.
Glad you posted this question, Daisy. I was wondering the same thing. I had decided you had to spend real $ to get TR points. but not sure of that either.
I play on the Caesars Casino and I believe the only way to earn Total Rewards credit is to purchase chips. Otherwise you don't actually earn any TR credit from playing the games. I'll stick with MyVegas for the most part - no purchase required.

My understanding is that your earn TR Points by purchasing coins for their online slot game. You do not receive any TR points by actually playing the game.
If you want to earn free rewards credits go to www.socialrewards.com . It is totally free. You just register then go on daily and watch short videos and share things to facebook and twitter. You earn points for each thing you do, usually 5 or 10 points for each item. When you get to 1000 points you can trade them in for $10 in rewards credits. Our last 2 trips this year we have had $200 in reward credits to spend before we even spend a nickle.
