House suing Obama?

Not so sure if this won't turn around and bite 'em in the ass.

Boehner readies House lawsuit over Obama executive orders

" WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner said on Wednesday he plans to sue President Barack Obama, accusing him of abusing his authority by going around Congress to implement his policy agenda.

The suit, to be filed by the House of Representatives later this summer, takes issue with executive actions Obama has taken on issues ranging from healthcare to energy to foreign policy, ...

...the speaker said Obama's actions risked giving the president a "king-like authority" at the expense of U.S. voters and Congress.

Obama has increasingly used executive orders this year to advance his agenda in the face of a gridlocked Congress. He raised the minimum wage for federal contractors and stopped the deportation of young people brought to the United States illegally by their parents. Obama also recently extended family leave rights nationwide to workers in same-sex marriages, and barred contractors from discriminating against gay employees."
The more attention that can be given to what President Obama has done for America in the face of total Congressional obstruction, the better.

He raised the minimum wage for federal contractors?
Stopped the immediate deportation of young people illegally brought into the country by their parents?
Extended family leave rights to workers in same-sex marriages?
Barred contractors from discriminating against gay employees?

Why, this monster must be stopped before he gives Americans more things they want!
Chilly has decided that there is no need for the Legislative branch of government, there is no need for the Judicial branch of government. We need only Obama to create and enforces law.

Chilly doesn't understand that this is what a king and dictator does, or possibly he does understand. Which is it?

money and time would be better served to give the IRS a nice big server to backup their e-mails.
Or nice big printers and paper to print them.

“The Federal Records Act applies to email records just as it does to records you create using other media,” according to the IRS. “Emails are records when they are: Created or received in the transaction of agency business; Appropriate for preservation as evidence of the government’s function and activities; or Valuable because of the information they contain.”

“If you create or receive email messages during the course of your daily work, you are responsible for ensuring that you manage them properly,” according to the IRS. “The Treasury Department’s current email policy requires emails and attachments that meet the definition of a federal record be added to the organization’s files by printing them (including the essential transmission data) and filing them with related paper records. If transmission and receipt data are not printed by the email system, annotate the paper copy.”

“Please note that maintaining a copy of an email or its attachments within the IRS email MS Outlook application does not meet the requirements of maintaining an official record,” the IRS stated. “Therefore, print and file email and its attachments if they are either permanent records or if they relate to a specific case.”

Obama, Hillary and their cronies are laughing their asses of over this lawsuit. Self destruction by the Republicans.
A loss for the king.

The Supreme Court has limited a president's power to make temporary appointments to fill high-level government jobs.

The court said Thursday that President Obama exceeded his authority when he invoked the Constitution's provision on recess appointments to fill slots on the National Labor Relations Board in 2012.

The justices said in their first-ever consideration of the Constitution's recess appointments clause that Congress gets to decide when it is in recess and that there was no recess when Obama acted

This decision also invalidates all the rulings by the NLRB made during this period
As Hoops already noted, Obama, Hillary and friends are no longer laughing about this lawsuit.

DonDiego suspects Chillcoot has discovered an absolute truth: "The best, most efficient form of Government is a Benevolent King [or Dictator or even Divine Leader]."

The problem is that everyone does not share the same idea of benevolence. (e.g., In the real world even the benevolence of raising the minimum wage may well have positive consequences on him who's wage is raised (unless it results in his layoff) but negative consequences elsewhere, because the real world has limited resources.)
So, in practice, not everything the benevolent King does will be benevolent to everyone.

Unfortunately the powers inherent in monarchy and dictatorships eventually grant the benevolent King the ability to silence or punish those who disagree. Human history suggests this always happens. ALWAYS.

“Power tends to corrupt. “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” __ Lord Acton

Thus, the Founding Fathers of the United States incorporated within the US Constitution a tripartite form of Government to lead the Country, so that if one portion were to attempt to take more power than it is permitted the other portions could reign it in.

The House of Representatives presently opines the President is assuming powers that rightly belong to the Legislators. DonDiego agrees.

So ends today's lesson in Constitutional Government.

The case cited by hoops2 above is a current example of the Court siding with the Legislature to prevent the President from usurping just such Legislative power. DonDiego agrees.
The Obama was warned that if the Court ruled against his unlawful appointments all decisions made by the National Labor Relations Board would be nullified. Now they have been. Now there is a Big Mess in labor law matters.

DonDiego expects many other messes to result from the negligent leadership of the Obama.

Long Live the Republic !
It's pretty sad and unprecedented that a president is still unable to staff his open positions after 6 yeArs in office. The obstruction is not even based on the nominees but rather an unconditionally obstructive Congress. The founding fathers never envisioned a party would sabotage their own government by abusing this process to the degree Republicans have.

I truly hope Democrats don't ever follow this recipe when they lose control of the White House someday. It doesn't just obstruct the other party... It undermines the integrity of the entire govt and the confidence of everyone regarding the govt being able to get things done.

The presidents approval numbers are down... And Republicans sit at an all time low...and it all stems from a stalemate installed by one party that is not interested in governing
