Yeah, but Trump isn't even fielding a complete team. He's got no ground game, and his get out the vote effort is looking pathetic. Both sides have some lazy and apathetic supporters, but the Democratic ones are going to get harangued until they get to the polls, the Republican ones not so much.

And key to firing up volunteers and voters are the surrogates that travel to build crowds and enthusiasm. Hillary Clinton has the equivalent of the 1927 Yankees Murderer's Row, with our popular President, our even more popular First Lady, the most popular politician in the country Bernie Sanders, with Senator Elizabeth Warren batting clean-up.

Donald Trump has.......Ivanka.

But I think basketball offers a better analogy. It's the Harlem Globetrotters vs. the Washington Generals.

I guess all those DAMN rallies that Trump held might have been more effective than Hill's "ground game"! Were you not a big leader in this so called "ground game"? Nice work.
Once again you have overrated your position.
I did not think that Trump or anyone else would beat the Clinton machine, they had everyone on their side, including the FBI, AG, Justice Dept., President, 90% of the media, Hollywood and so forth. this is a stunning, huge upset. I am so happy for and proud of the Donald. and I am so glad the he did NOT release his tax returns! as President, while some may see him as a joke, he WILL command respect here and around the world.
Trump must have rigged those voting machines. It's the only explanation.

You're on to something Snidely. Just so we don't have to hear about voter intent and hanging chads.

Mally, please leave the statistics to the honest and smart people. We would all be better off.

In the interest of being even handed, I post this one for all my leftist friends here.

To be honest, I have no idea who will win, and neither do you. But since Forkie "guarantees" a winner, I thought this would be a good place for an opposing view.

The poll that was the closest in the last three Presidential elections had Trump winning but it is in the margin of error. My only hope in this election is that Liarry loses. Couldn't care much less about who wins, I just am sick and tired of Clinton's, Bushes and Powell's.

You guys are entitled to your fantasies until the night of November 8th. Statistically, at this point, it is almost impossible for Trump to win. Some more opposition research is getting ready to drop too.

Forkie, please leave the "ground game" discussions to those who understand football. We will all be better off.

The GOP lives happily every after, all the while remembering the Liberals pollsters and Liberal media are both liars.

I don't know where the Republican party goes from here. They had their Dream Team running in their primary: Sitting Senators, Sitting Governors, Son of A Former President, Brother of A former President. Former Governors, Former Senators, and a well-known neurosurgeon. Trump beat them all and publically humiliated quite a few of them. I don't think Trump will run again, but I am sure someone will copy his formula. They will make a similar appeal to the white nationalist movement which while allowing them to capture the nomination in the primary will render them unelectable in the general. The Republican party is no the longer the pro-wealthy and pro-big business party. It is the party of the alt-right.

Unfortunately for Forkie, it turns out that Liary's "ground game" didn't do shit.

There's a common phrase in the campaign business: "Lawn signs don't vote." They are more trouble than they are worth, and they can give your laziest and cheapest supporters the impression they are actually accomplishing something.

You will be happy to know however that fivethirtyeight.com is presently predicting Trump as the victor in Ohio. But you won't like what else they are predicting.

I think that's more utter bullshit. Why in the world would someone go to the bother of putting a sign up if they weren't planning on voting, that says to me the person is above avg passion on elections. I consider myself of avg. enthusiasm on elections and if I were to ever , EVER go to the bother of putting a sign up in my yard it means I'm sure as hell gonna be voting...
True, but your yard sign isn't going to do shit when it comes to influencing anyone else, so you might as well hang it in your living room. Worse, it allows a campaigns laziest supporters to con themselves into thinking they are accomplishing something. They aren't.

So far this year I've been to two Hillary events and worked out of two major campaign offices, and there wasn't one person providing or selling yard signs. Over the last four days of the election I'll be hosting a major staging area for volunteer canvassers, and we won't have a single yard sign available. Yes, yard signs are that useless.

My favorite forkism? I commented that the only poll that counts would be taken Nov 8th. Forkie was quick to say that only losers say that. I'm pretty sure that that has been proven to be incorrect.
