i did stay at south point.

im missing aria, cosmo, encore, hard rock, eastside cannery and trump (i know its not a casino but still).

im actually missing a bunch of off strip places other than what ive mentioned but i really do want to try eastside cannery.

aria and encore are out. i will not pay resort fees, not even to complete my collection. i believe trump has a resort fee as well but im willing to pay it if i can get one of those offers they had a couple of years ago where you got food and spa credit.

m is on my list of "one day". cosmo is on my list for "absolutely must for my next trip!'.

i had the hard rock booked one time. it was actually the last hotel (at the time) i needed to complete my collection. aria, cosmo, trump and encore didnt exist so it was the very last one. i went to check in and leave a cash deposit and she told me that they dont take cash deposits. as i went to reach for my bag to get out a credit card, she told me that "no hotels take cash". i explained to her that yes, they do and she told me i was wrong, and she was a bitch about it. so we argued back and forth, with her basically telling me i had not even left cash as a deposit, when at that point, i had in fact left it for pretty much 95% of all the hotels and i had stayed in EVERY hotel except the hard rock.

she pissed me off and i didnt check in.

Monte Carlo = first 2 trips.

The Orleans = 18 consecutive trips.

That Hard Rock situation was crazy. I can't say I blame you. I hear what you are saying about the resort fees and you may stick to your guns, but, if they ever become your final 2 it may make you go hmmmmm.

you underestimate the power of haaaaaate!

honestly, i did price aria a few times. i was actually in vegas the night it opened and thought about just doing a one-nighter that week, but ended up not. then i visited city center and i have to say i hate it so much that the chances of me staying there are very small.

encore though, i might cave.

Main Street Station
The Cal

MGM
Caesars Palace
Mirage
Monte Carlo
Flamingo
Tropicana

THEHotel
Trump
Aladdin
Bally's

Slept in a Chevy Blazer in the parking lot at Caesars in 1983 after finals at UCSB. There were 4 of us. Good times, bad smells. It is probably where the Prada store is now.
17 that I can remember: Alexis Park, Boulder Station, Castaways (the former Showboat, now the Bus Station), El Cortez, Fiesta Rancho, Gold Coast, Harrah’s, Imperial Palace, Lady Luck, Luxor, Mirage, Plaza, Rio, Stardust, Sunset Station, Terrible’s, Vegas Club
Lost Soul reminds poor old DonDiego that The Showboat, at the north end of Boulder Highway, was recently and briefly known as the Castaways before its implosion. The Castaways in DonDiego's original list refers to the original Castaways, located where The Mirage now stands. The original list correctly refers also to the Showboat; DonDiego did not stay there after it was renamed The Castaways.
I forgot about staying at the Castaways. The place that the original NFL contest started by Sonny Reizner. He later went to the RIO and was head bookmaker there. His Casstawys contest got many handicappers their first start in business. The deli at the RIO was called Sonny's Deli. may he rest in peace.
