BORGATA WEEKEND EVENTS POSTPONED
Atlantic City, NJ (August 25, 2011) — Due to inclement weather, Frankie Valli, Donny Osmond and Lynryd Skynryd’s performances this weekend have been postponed along with La La Anthony hosting mur.mur on Saturday

It appears that Irene will have a severe impact on Atlantic City's casinos and businesses.

They can't afford to lose gambler$ and tourist$ for a whole weekend in the summer.

As an Andrew survivor I highly recommend everyone in the watch & warning areas do just what is suggested, especially those in flood prone areas.

More deaths are attributed to drownings than high winds.

High-rise buildings are also vulnerable to hurricane-force winds, particularly at the higher levels since wind speed tends to increase with height. Recent research suggests you should stay below the tenth floor, but still above any floors at risk for flooding.

I was planing to go to the Borgata this weekend.

I'm doing nothing as the storm won't get close. Although I'm thinking of playing Come On Eileen non stop for 24 hours once it hits.

NC, looks like the subway is getting closed down on Sat, so you may have to hoof it or take a cab to get your hair done.

this explains why i got "sold out" when i checked rates for tomorrow.

Atlantic City is closing their Casinos at noon tomorrow. Did I really just hear that ? What about all the people staying at those casinos?
