I am back

Actually I got back home Tuesday evening had emergency surgery Monday about 5:00 – 6:00 local time. The hospital stay was ok, but the recovery isn’t going as quickly as I hoped. I was thinking I’d bounce back quickly, but I wasn’t expecting my battery to drain so quickly, as I spent all but six hours in bed yesterday.
Dude, if you think your going to get up and walk and be the same right away, not going to happen. It took me 2 weeks before I could walk stairs somewhat normally. Although, it took me more than a month to do so the same as before I went to the hospital.

Wow. I didn't know.

Yeah, we're generally on opposite sides of the political fence, but I'm hoping you have a successful and speedy recovery.

Thanks guys very much and I am very sorry some of our earlier disagreements turned negative Jim.

Feel better, man.
I don't know if its something you can catch, but watch out about snacking when you get better. The last 2 months I've been hitting snacks harder and harder. Mainly those damn cookies!! Although get me near a bag of potato chips, and you might want to be seriously watching your hand, or you might lose it. One nice thing it did for me was to put on the pounds I lost when I was laid up in bed. (about 30lbs)

I forgot, if your on Boost or Ensure, you can mix them up with Nesquick and they don't taste too bad. However the side effect is one of drinking a bunch more milk than you normally do.
Did they remove your appendix? Did they let you keep it as a souvenir?
Yes, they removed it and no I didn’t get to keep it. I recall some sort of waver that allowed them to do with it what they wanted. My family doctor was out of her office Monday so she told me If I thought that is what the problem is I should just go to the ER. I went to the ER and was in there a very long time. The ER Dr. was skeptical that was what the problem was. He said the blood work came back ok and so did the urinalysis and he was just waiting on the radiologist to read the CT to scan to see what to do. As soon as the radiologist read it he said you are having surgery today. They wheeled me up to a regular hospital room and 10 minutes later the surgical nurses were coming in saying we are ready for him hurry up with the admissions. Next thing I know I was talking to the nurse anesthesiologist, she said she was going to insert this shot in the IV and that most people don’t remember anything after that and sure enough the next thing I recall is waking up in recovery sans appendix and a lot of body hair lol.

chefantwon I have no craving for regular food, but I have a major sweet tooth thing going.

I'll eat a few cookies... (wait!! I just remembered I have an entire bag of Reeses peanut butter cups in the fridge. I'll snag a few with some milk for you)

If your into cookies, the generic ones are about $1.50 cheaper than the regular ones.
My oldest daughter spent the past two days with me. I sent her out to get me some sweets before she left this evening.
