Gabby, I know the feeling, those doctors bills just suck.

Feel better soon.

I had mine out when I was 16. 4 inch scar nice how they do it now. Mine burst while they were operating. Same as GG son in the hospital for 7 days. I can still remember the pain. Glad your on the road to recovery.

Knagl you can die from an appendix burst. Glad your FIL is doing better.

Wishing you a fast recovery. A short story, a young friend of mine was having some abdominal pain and the medical staff seemed to be having a hard time diagnosing his ailment. an older surgeon came in and while conversing with the patient the doctor unexpectantly jabbed his fingers into my friends stomach and then asked "Does that hurt"? My friend says yes. The doctor says it's your appendix and it was.

DD, you do know the doctors will at your request mark exactly where to cut for surgery??

Sheltie, If they keep going like they are, scars will be a novelty in the future. Hell, I've got an 8" scar with no stiches.
