I am proud of Rand Paul

Letter from ISIS to Rand Paul

Dear Mr. Paul

Many thanks to you and your fellow isolationists in the Senate for leaving America vulnerable and defenseless to our prying eyes and ears. And to think that you pulled this off in the name of privacy and your aspiration to the office of presidency. Brilliant! We love it when you guys publicly bash your own country and your security measures. Your support for limitation of America's powers to detect our plans to harm your citizens is greatly appreciated.

Yours in terrorism,

Yours in terrorism,
That's kind of cute. Did you guys have a version of that to support the Iraq invasion? Or our Vietnam occupation?

What about the Iraq invasion, WWII or WWI? Well, they are over. Not sure whether we are still "occupying" Vietnam, but it has no relevance to my posts.

The original topic was Rand Paul and his position against data collection to detect in-country support of terrorism. My response concerned my position on his position and his going public (TV) to slam our government and country, no doubt to the delight of terrorists everywhere, most recently ISIS. Period.

My mantra: You don't have to tell everything you know, right or wrong.

I realize and understand everyone's position on this topic. Obama and friends and their crooked actions while utilizing the powers of the IRS has pushed towards Rand Paul's position........although I used to be on the other side of this argument.

What does your phony IRS scandal have to do with the Patriot Act ?
PHONY IRS scandal? There was nothing phony about it. Don't you remember, it was a couple guys goofing around in the Cincy office. The Obama said so.

You mean when the IRS questioned that maybe super pacs might be political fundraising organizations instead of a charities? The only scandal is they allowed those pacs to go untaxed.
Forkie, you certainly plan to back up your claims with quotes and Youtube links, correct?

Rand Paul stands by his principles...except when he doesn't.

He once said Iran wasn't a threat to the US - but not any more. He once said we should cut off foreign aid to Israel - but not any more. He once said we should drastically cut defense spending - but not any more. He once said that private business should be able to discriminate based on race - but not any more. He once said that he heard that vaccines could cause mental disorders - but not any more.

Lots of politicians and non-politicians changed their views, but to hold Rand Paul up as a beacon of consistency and principle is a bit silly.

If they IRS scandal is phone, then why has key people worked so hard to destroy evidence.

Obama and friends have proven that a power hungry government officials are willing to utilize the IRS in this case, or Patriot Act laws to bully and intimidate those that they consider enemies.
