I guess donald is qualified, after all.

He's certainly good at giving away other peoples money.
The Trump campaign made a big issue over donald's supposed charity donations over the last five or six years.
They claimed it was well over one hundred million dollars.
Today's Washington Post examines the record and its pretty startling. The problem is that none of it was his cash. The largest portion of the charity donations consisted of various golf clubs that bear his name giving away rounds of golf to be auctioned off. The list also included a parcel of land he donated to NY State in 2006, and included a $13,500 charitable donation for giving one of the Williams Sisters a ride back to NY on his plane.
donald trump has not contributed a dime to his own DJT foundation in almost eight years.

It's called "in kind" contributions and is very legitimate. See Federal Form 8283.
You have to admit that a billionaire going that long without donating any cash or even funding his own foundation is very unusual. Claiming a charitable donation for giving a tennis player is BS., even if it is allowed.

In 2010, a man named Martin Greenberg was playing in a charity tournament at Trump's course in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. A $1 million prize was offered to anybody who got a hole in one.

Greenberg did. But then, hours later, he was called back. The rules said the hole-in-one shot had to go 150 yards. But, according to court documents, Trump's course had made the hole too short.

Greenberg got nothing. He sued.

On the day that Trump and the other parties told the court that they had settled the case, the Donald J. Trump Foundation made its first and only donation to the Martin B. Greenberg Foundation, for $158,000. Both Greenberg and Trump's campaign declined to comment

There are people who frontload foundations and don't give to them for many years.

Usually you get hole in one insurance for something like this.
By the way. We have someone in our office who played in a foursome on one of Trump's courses. While they were playing, one of Trump's people came up to them and asked if Trump and his foursome could play through. They agreed to it. The Donald took quick pictures with them. They later found out if they had not agreed to let him play through, they would have been thrown off the course and asked to leave.
I've help run a few tournaments that offer these prizes. What happened on that course was they declined the insurance but set the pin at around 147 so no one could win it. It was done in bad faith, as the pin was usually set at over 150.
BTW- I'm 100% sure donald had nothing to do with setting the pin where it was, but one of his employees did.
