I think trying to find appropriate medication would be more helpful than trying to keep track. I suspect an ignition interlock would also help.

In response to OP, there are no valid video poker "systems" (except the VP machine itself, which is a system). The best move for the player can ALWAYS be determined by mathematical calculations that aren't very complex. If you want to call memorization of these moves "a system," OK, but it's really just algebra.
Why can't we just play Video Poker and have fun.

These "discussions" can reduce the recreational value of the game to a level of tedious anxiety.

It kind of reminds me of Little League parents bickering over something that's not important.

Can't we just "Play Ball !!!!!" ................ and have fun ???

There are many "systems" or just different ways of playing. None will give you a better winning edge than the optimal play, but several may give you more fun. You might want to find a line of machines, put in 40 credits and play exactly 8 hands (at 5 credits per hand) and cash out. Move to the next machine and do another 40. After the last machine count your tickets and see if you came out plus or minus. Will this affect your winnings? Not at all. Will it change up your day from sitting at a single machine? Absolutely. Will you have more fun? Try it and see. Will anyone care if you play this way? Only if you try and sell them a book on this system saying you will win 85% of the time with it.

After being burned in the past, I now only buy books about systems that work at least 90% of the time- like the Martingale.

The problem is that 10% when it doesn't work.

I watched a friend lose $500 in an attempt to win 25 cents. He said it was a "can't lose" system. I tried to talk him out of it all of the days leading up to the trip, on the plane, and while in town as he looked for the "right game". He found a video blackjack machine that allowed a spread of bets from .25 to $250. It was his first and last trip to Vegas.
I use a system that 100% guaranteed.....

Wait for it..............

to have fun.

I like to keep an open mind about things and I'll be the first to admit that I'm learning valuable information from both camps.

How can there ever be a "paradigm shift" in a game as simple as VP. I think you're going to be very disappointed if you believe there's anything more to this than simple mathematics.

But hey, please tell what "valuable information" you are learning from those who essentially claim 2+2 = 5.

Please quote any post that I have made on this forum that supports your claim that I am a proponent of any strategy or system.
You can't because I have not.
The only thing I have done is to question a few AP'ers who never lose.
Bottom line, I think you are all a bunch of bullshitters.
MoneyLA is the only one with balls enough to post that he is an overall loser.
Because I don't believe the stories of win, win, win, win, I get branded as a Singer advocate or even Singer himself. If it were that easy, everyone would be winning.

So, you and surf87 are the same person? Interesting.

I'll just say that surf87 and Tomdoug is not the same person and I'll leave it at that. I've seen on another forum how Arcimedes can rip to shreds Singer, and vice versa.

It's impossible Rick for those who claim to be "advantage players." Just the claim of being an "advantage player" takes them out of the "recreational spectrum" of play. Because, for example, as "advantage players" they will never break up a full house with three aces in Bonus Poker to try for quads. There is no recreational value in doing that.
