The damn pigs stole the birds' eggs. Now, the birds attack.

C'mon man, it's not like you've been laid up in the hospital for a long time.

Someday when you get the internet you can do this.
Hi John, the iPad is awesome. I have the the second generation which has built in 3G so for $20 a month I can get internet service for it. You can sign up for it whenever you know you'll need it and it lasts for as many gbs you purchase or when the month runs out.

The flash issue isn't huge for me. Some you tube videos use flash and a few websites. I can usually still use/view the websites but not the videos. I can however use the watch now feature on Netflix which is really important to me. The zoom can't view Netflix movies at this time. They are working on it according to the Verizon person I dealt with. That's what sold me on the iPad. He had no reason to lie as the zoom is more $.

Good luck with your decision. you won't be disappointed with getting a tablet.

Angry Birds is the BEST game ever! Love the Season's & Rio's too. I'm waiting on the next level of Carnival Upheaval.

One good thing about an ipad as opposed to a laptop in Vegas, you can get on the net anywhere.
I say get one.
I love mine.

I had a iPad 1 for about 8 months before the new iPad 2, and it's become part of my life. When I go to leave the house I check for spectacles, ........, wallet, watch, cell phone, and iPad.

I use it for turn by turn directions, restaurant reviews when on the road, keeping up to date on forums ( like this very post), and plug it into my aux for music in my car. Would def suggest it's essential for Vegas to keep your schedule of activities, look up show times and numbers, and when you find a new place, to check for a good coupon.

Rock
I have had my Ipad for less than a month and took it to LV on our last trip. Great for the plane because I had a lot of stored games, mostly solitaire and words games, but the free version of Angry Birds, too. Very addictive.

I got the boradband version ($700) and they come in either AT & T or Verizon. Finding the Verizon version is a bit more difficult. So I bought the ATT version because I have internet at home and their cellular data pack is cheaper than Verizon's.

We stayed at Paris and my experience was "hit and Miss" with ATT. I was not a happy camper.

Joy
I got one for Christmas. Hubby and I use it everyday. We took it to Europe and found it invaluable for planning our daily outings, checking train schedules, and keeping up with our checking account since we were using our debit card. Check out all the various features on the different models, you may not need the most expensive one. We really enjoy the NY Times Daily Crossword.
