I see the Republican Party establishment is taking down Trump.

And the people proclaiming the death of the Republican Party, said the same thing in 2013.

They are dead as far as Federal Elections go. That is why they have to cheat with gerrymandering and taking people's right to vote away. Barring a bizarre turn of events the Democratic nominee will win the next presidential election. You can bank on that. 16 Republicans are battling for who gets to be the next looser.

Whoa there Mr. Kettle!! You are accusing the GOP of gerrymandering?? Now everything else you say is moot because of that one statement.
Actually he's saying that much of the Republican success in House races has is the result of gerrymandering. I can't believe anyone with a functioning brain stem would deny it.

Stop running away from what you wrote. Like a coward.

Obviously, Republican leadership is trying to take down Trump while Democratic leadership is doing nothing of the sort regarding Sanders. Maybe they will in the future, but as of right now, you've got nothing. Can't you just admit it?

How am I running away from anything I wrote? WTF are you talking about? Let's recap:

malibber said "When are those poor rank and file republican voters going to learn? You get the establishment approved candidates and nobody else"
I replied: "Kind of like what's going to happen with Bernie, eh?" If you need help with that...It means that the Democrats will end up with "the establishment approved candidates and nobody else"...just like the Republicans.

Then you asked "What's going to happen to Bernie?"
and I said "What is going to happen to Bernie is those poor rank and file democrat voters are going to be left out in the cold because of the coronation of Hillary Clinton. Of course there's always a chance he'll gain steam and give her a real run, but it's unlikely.....because she and Bill are a fundraising machine....and it takes a lot of money to get Nominated and Elected." If you need help on it, that means Bernie isn't going to win the nomination because he doesn't have the money to compete with Hillary.

Then malibber said: The difference is of course none of the Democratic leadership is out to get Bernie. They aren't leaking old sealed depositions like team red....
to which I sarcastically replied: "Right. The Democrat elite would never do something unsavory like that to one of their candidates" and then went on to quote Obama's campaign manager who described a Hillary hit piece as "the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we've seen from either party in this election". So, if you need a little help here, I'm showing that even though I have not claimed once that the democrat elite are participating in negative campaigning or dirty tricks (yet), Hillary is very capable and willing to resort to "most shameful, offensive fear-mongering".

You seem to keep wanting me to say 'I got nothing' or to take back some claim I never wrote that the democrat elite is currently subverting Bernie. Even went as far as to say I was running away from what I wrote and call me cowardly. Since I never once made any such statement I thought maybe summarizing my thoughts and bolding the explanations of my words might help you on the reading comprehension front.

So either point to my words you claim I'm 'running away from' or YOU'VE got nothing...and you're a coward! and your mother wears Army Boots (not that there's anything wrong with THAT!) Maybe you're just confusing what I actually wrote with what you're hearing in your head.

"We are the BORG. You have already been assimilated by the RNC/DNC, and don't even know it. Resistance to Hillary is futile."

Was I supposed to read all that?

Besides, you misattributed a quote from someone else to me, so I stopped reading there. In any case, I'll just reprint the original discussion immediately below, and let's see if you got anything. I bet you don't.

What is "going to happen" to Bernie? Meaning at the moment you got nothing, right?

All that? I knew American's attention span was waning, but if you can't handle a couple of paragraphs maybe you should stick to twitter.

And what did I misattribute to you. Sorry if I did that. But if you really stopped reading my response...why is that? That's kind of chicken. I tried to take each response I made on this thread and explain my reasoning in simple English. I asked you to point to anything I said that I am 'running away from' or am 'cowardly' about. Here you go AGAIN.

The Republican brand has reached an all time low due in no small part to the inflammatory rhetoric coming from Trump. sanders likely wont beat Hillary but his platform is not dragging down the perception of the Democratic party. sanders' platform largely polls well.

It is so amusing watching the candidates try and out Trump Trump. Once you reference putting Jews in the oven is it possible to sink any lower?

No I did NOT. I quoted your "going to happen" meaning that you were predicting something in the future, but for now, you got nothing. And I was right, wasn't I?

And I believe the following in my heart of hearts: Hillary would NEVER get the Democratic establishment to slam Bernie in any sort of sleazy or disreputable way EVER, under any conditions - unless it would help her win. But she won't need to, and attacking Bernie would be incredibly stupid and just turn off the activists for the general election.

Sorry to say, but from an electoral standpoint Bernie is just Howard Dean with more wrinkles and less hair. And while Dean had all the grassroots activists with him, not to mention courage and intelligence, when it came time to count the votes Kerry clobbered him and he couldn't even beat Gephardt. And Sanders has it even worse, because a lot of activists that would normally be attracted to him are women, and they want one in the White House, and black, who still have a lot of fondness for Bill.

And there's one more reason that the party establishment probably won't be attacking Bernie. He refuses to attack Hillary. Not much like Donald Trump, is he?
Hillary's worst nightmare is debating Donald Trump. Hell, I'd almost pay money to see the debate. I can see Hillary's people setting up too many restrictions, because they know the Donald would tear her a new asshole.
