I see the Republican Party establishment is taking down Trump.

Since the conservative media is so large, running for President as a Republican candidate is very lucrative. You get books deals, cable TV shows and of course the ability to raise funds. Even a nominal figure like Ben Carson or a person whose political career is over like Rick Santorum can milk the conservative money machine instead of having to get a real job.

That is the most backward thinking statement I have ever seen on these boards. And that's saying a lot.
Cowboy, next time you decide make a post devoid of any evidence or argumentation, I suggest you try, "Oh yeah!" Less typing.

Meanwhile, malibber's point is pretty much conventional wisdom. From the Economist:

What?
Yes Spiro.

Fox News functions as an arm of the Republican Party. There is no equivalent for the Democrats.

It seems like any right wing nut job can get their 15 minutes of fame on Fox News and then just like herpes they never go away. There is nothing better for these clowns that to have their face shown on Fox. I see it all the time where people will still post some drivel Joe The Plumber, Palin, Ted Nugent, Michelle Bachman, Ann Coulter, and God knows who else said. What is scary is people actually put some credence in what these people say. Of course for the level headed, middle of the road American it is a good thing because we just sit back and watch them make idiots of themselves realizing there is no chance in hell of a conservative getting elected. I mean get serious, Trump is leading in the polls.
I'm talking about the inferred claim that the conservative media is so large.

Perhaps it is because I don't watch fox news. Nor does any serious conservative thinker I know.
Yet almost every newspaper and every media outlet I see has a very strong liberal/democrat bias.

If you are referring to the notoriety of being an also-ran, that doesn't really matter who you are, as long as you are in there. But by malibber's thinking it would support a democrat far more than a republican.

Cowboy, it is funny you say that. Here in Tampa most people read the Tampa Tribune. All of the Liberals feel it is a conservative rag. Me for one.

All of the conservatives believe it is a liberal rag.

I swear, other than msnbc I don't see the "liberal media". I mean there are plenty of liberal sites on the web but I don't consider them news. The Huffington Post comes to mind as a blog for liberal views.

CowboyKell said "Perhaps it is because I don't watch fox news. Nor does any serious conservative thinker I know."

I will respond "yea both of them".....Just kidding, I couldn't help myself.

I'm thinking of the cartoons in which the antagonist coyote (or Elmer Fudd, or, you name him/her) is watching the hero roadrunner (or Bugs, or, you name him/her) fall down a vast cliff, and you hear the penny whistle blowing that "fa-a-a-ling" descending glissando, and all of a sudden the antagonist coyote (or 'you know the routine') is hit in the head by the falling hero from above. Kinda reminds me of the "Republican Party establishment is taking down Trump". Either one is great entertainment.
Don't you people go slamming on Sara Paylin. She is a true American hero, a patriot.

Because you say so, Spiro? I think you should have stuck with "Oh yeah."

You are so liberal you probably think anything to your right is conservative. Liberal media examples.

ABC
CBS
NBC
CNN
Ny times
Wash post
La times
Boston globe
Huff post
Most Gannet papers, certainly the ones in the NYC area

All of the above endorsed obama. As a NYC resident I know that the NY times almost exclusively supports democrats
