I stand corrected...maybe (Christmas-related)

A year or two ago I posted that metal Christmas trees were preferable to natural ones because it was a waste to kill a tree for just a few weeks of use. And on top of that the used trees didn't even make safe compost because of the fire retardant chemicals applied to them.

Now goats are being used to consume discarded trees. WTF??? Is this safe for goats to eat? Was I wrong about chemicals being applied to the trees?
Christmas trees are grown for that purpose, being Christmas trees.
It isn't like decimating a forrest habitat.

Kinda like a pig and bacon analogy?
Mmmmm...bacon

That is a good analogy, both are raised for human consumption. Isn't the right to eat bacon in the bible somewhere?

Yes, your bacon analogy is similar.

I love bacon. Fine point, Mushy!

Ouch. No bacon but pastrami is just fine. (unless you're reformed I think, then bacon's O.K.)

Yes and no. Before the time of Christ, man was 'forbidden' to eat from an animal that did not chew cud nor was cloven of hoof. (Leviticus 11: 1-8)

So, cows were in, pigs were out.

With the New Covenant, such food restrictions are no longer required, though persons of certain beliefs and religions may observe and eat as they believe to be right for themselves. (Romans 14: 1-3)

Hooray for bacon!
That's more bacon for me! I'm happier by the second.

Oh man, I'm so relieved that we established the official Okey-Dokey on this matter. Thanks Candy.

Does the bible say anything about wood chippers?
