I think it is safe to say Trump is in full meltdown mode now.

Was he making up excuses for losing when he claimed that the Republican Primary was rigged?

I think low-energy Jeb might have given the GOP a fighting chance - but he's not angry and racist enough to appease the birthers.

He's not only shooting himself in the foot, after that, he's aiming for the temple. He needs to learn when to STFU at times, if he doesn't, he's toast. If this keeps up, the only thing that'll save him, is some more wikileaks emails.
I attended Republican committee meetings in Arizona this afternoon. The discussion was supposed to center around winning swing Congressional districts and state legislative races. But the conversation dissolved into what a mess it is having Trump head the ticket. And what is the latest he could be talked into resigning to give the party enough time to identify a Plan B candidate in time to be listed on enough states' ballots to have a remote chance of pulling out a win. The consensus was Labor Day and that's pushing it.

There was a lot of hand wringing about how the pendulum swings left and right and after eight years of Democratic control and a Democratic candidate with terrible likeability polling, election was the Republicans to lose. And yet they seem to realize this golden opportunity will be fumbled.

That more moderate candidates like Kasich and to some extent maybe even Rubio would win in a landslide this year. But they can't survive a primary in which you have to be off the charts crazy to survive. And here they are with Trump as the party's bride.

It is hard to feel sorry for people that are the victim of the monster they created. 20+ years of Talk Radio and Fox News promoting the idea that conservatives are perpetually the victims of mainstream media and whatever Democrat is in office has created a lot of true believers.

I'm not going to disagree with this statement. I personally know many Republican elected official who privately admit they are not as wacky as they portray themselves. But they can't portray themselves as reasonable or they won't survive an August primary, with tiny turnout and the most fringe voters turning out. This proves itself over and over. We have lost so many bright people, capable of a helicopter view on issues, that can't survive a primary.

Probably true. And from interactions, I would suggest that 80 to 90 percent of Republicans are RINOs. But they know that to survive a Republican primary, they can't be crazy enough. Case in point: Donald Trump.
Ed Rollins, who is heading Pro- Trump PAC explained today that they need to put blinders on Trump. He said that just as some great horses need blinders or they'll run into the stands, Trump needs blinders so he can focus on Hillary.
Just the qualities America looks for in a President. The need for blinders.
He needs to just "focus" on some solutions to our problems. Hillary is quite capable of lying herself right out of the election if you will just let her.

Exactly correct. I can;t believe she keeps doubling down on her lies about her server. I love it evry time I see Comeys confirming her lies in the Senate.
