My wife and I always make a personal contest of our trips to Vegas. Whoever is the overall winner, or least loser, wins. We break the game down into and include coupon chases, matching slot machine playoffs (tourney style), hand for hand table games and individual play.
On our last trip my wife won the overall contest by $11. A crushing defeat for me. However, last night I put on a jacket that I had last worn on that trip. In the inside pocket was $16, (one dollar was a Golden Nugget casino chip), that I had forgotten about and did not include in our contest. I immediately informed my wife that I had won our last contest. Of course all the legalese and mumbo jumbo started with things like 'statute of limitations' and 'precedent' batted about. Needless to say, I have not and will never win an argument with my wife.
Well, to settle the dispute we are taking a little mid week, three day trip to Vegas next week. It's going to be cut-throat competition this time. No more Mr. nice guy. I'm going to be watching my wife's bankroll very closely and betting appropriately. I will be using every coupon I can find, even if I don't particularly want the product (because every cent saved is considered a win). We'll see who the real winner is.......
