Get over it.

It's a quote that I say to my kids all the time.

It's actually a John Wayne quote from the movie "The Sands of Iwo Jima"(1949), where he portrays Sergeant John Stryker, U.S.M.C.

Won't the slot attendant watch it for you? They do that here in the indian casino.
Yes, slot attendants will "baby-sit" machines for you (that's what they call it), but it's less common now when it's so easy to cash out a ticket. I used to ask someone to watch my machine back in the old days, and always tipped him/her a couple of bucks when I returned.
Luckily you didn't lose your money. I always cash out when I have to leave the machine, even if my husband is sitting next to me and 'watching it'. It's too easy for him to be distracted and someone could cash out the money.

This was at the casino bar. I'm guessing that they wouldn't do it.
Slot attendants can "lock" a machine when you leave it. They can even lock a machine for hours if it's "your machine" and you will come back to it after lunch.

Its aggravating for the other players but it is done.

If the machine isn't locked, all your money is at risk unless a slot attendant is standing there and watching it for you. I dont think bartenders count as slot attendants.
I gotta say, it wasn't the bartenders job to watch your cash left in the machine while you went to take a piss. Next time cash out and leave a napkin/tip the chair if you wanna come back and play the same machine.

If you really need to leave cash in a machine turn the call attendant light on and when they come over just ask them to watch the machine. Make sure to give them a few bucks for doing it. Most places in Vegas will do it for you.
I was at Paris a few days ago. I was playing a machine, with a lady next to me. She was on the phone and left in a hurry. A minute or two later, I cashed out and was moving on when I saw her ticket sticking out of the machine! So I pulled it, and sat on her chair, and looked to see if she had moved to another machine in the area, but to no avail. So I sat there for a few more minutes and she finally returned, kinda looking over my shoulder to where the ticket should be. I said,Were you playing here?,as I handed her the ticket. She was grateful. and called me a nice man! Made my day! Bob
I thought about this same situation a couple years ago, playing a penny machine at NYNY. I won around $250 but it counted it out penny by penny. I remembered thinking...I'm glad I don't have to run to the restroom or catching a shuttle that's waiting to go back to the airport. Maybe since then, the machines can count out your winnings a bit quicker.

In Saint Louis, hubby and I could easily ask a bartender or person next to us to watch the machine (with money) and have no worrys upon return.

Las Vegas is a different story...there are many desperate people there in need of cash....I would always cash out there unless Hubby or someone I know really well could watch my machine.
