The University of Missouri police department has sent an email to all students advising them to call the police if they witness any incidents of “hurtful speech":

Apparently "hurtful speech" is determined within the mind of the listener. DonDiego is pleased to learn that "hurtful speech" is not illegal, . . . yet. Why, if it were some posters on, f'rinstance, the LVA Fora might be arrested. But the University of Missouri Office of Student Conduct can take disciplinary action, . . . und es wird !. DonDiego begs the readers forgiveness; he got carried away.
DonDiego had thought a University was a place for discussion of all ideas, . . . even some which the listener might oppose or find "hurtful", . . . no, especially for ideas one might oppose or find hurtful.
Who are the snowflakes matriculating at the University of Missouri going to call after they graduate? Perhaps in a few years there'll be units of "Thought Police" patrolling the countryside to insure no one is offended by free speech. It's been tried before; it has never turned out well.
First, they came for the free speech at the University of Missouri . . . . .
