If the shoe were on the other foot...

Funny. I generally shovel my mental image of you, just before I call it a day at the dog park.
Let's face it. You were a miserable failure under Obama. You'll be a miserable failure under Trump. The band's may change, but the song remains the same.

Had Hillary won the electoral college but Trump won the popular vote, do you think trumps supporters would not have protested?
Seeing how one former Congressman said he would take his musketeers and march on Washington , I don't think they would have behaved any better than what's going on now.
It's not like I expect most of you to a answer honestly, but go right ahead.

Actually I was a little concerned there might be some sort of stupidity after the election if the hill won (which I was pretty much expecting).

The former congress man DID NOT say anything close to what you claim, never mentioned musketeers or a word about marching anywhere. This is the problem with people like you billy, you listen to one thing and what you think you HEARD are two entirely different things, so you ad lib it.

BTW he never meant he was gonna actually "pick up a musket". It was meant he was going to protest. I'm surprised I had to explain that to you. DUH!!
jatki99- you should not be surprised that you have to explain the obvious to billryan.
Imagine what the vote totals would be if the press wasn't 95% in the tank for clinton by spreading misinformation & polling that was slanted in here favor.

"Of Mr. Trump, Mrs. Clinton said she hoped that he would be “a successful president for all Americans,” and that she respected and cherished the peaceful transition of power. She told her supporters that they must accept that Mr. Trump would be president. “We owe him an open mind and a chance to lead,” she said.

President Obama called on Americans to support President-elect Donald Trump Wednesday, saying the Obama White House was "rooting for his success in leading and unifying the country."

"One thing you realize in this job is that the presidency — or the vice presidency — is bigger than all of us," Obama said, standing beside Vice President Joe Biden in his first public remarks since Trump won an astounding victory in one of the most divisive campaigns in memory.

"Everybody is sad when their side loses an election. But we have to remember that we are all on the same team," Obama said. "This is an intramural scrimmage. We're Americans first. We're patriots first.""

Gracious words from both Secretary Clinton and President Obama. Let's 'give him a chance to lead'. I'm not so sure The Donald would have been gracious in defeat, but nonetheless I couldn't agree more with Clinton and Obama. He is OUR president now. Whether you voted for him or not.

Because "picking up my musket" is common usage for protesting. Right? I mean, whenever people want to protest, they always say they are going to pickup a musket. Right? Can you find me another example of this term being used in such a way? Please. Pretty please. With sugar on top. Educate me.

It's amazing how liberals like billy when someone disagrees with then, they resort to calling them stupid

I couldn't not make this reply and see someone already made it first, but yes. The shoe has been on the other foot for the last eight years. I did not protest, nor move, nor make riots. To be sure, I have said everyday for 8 years, I didn't vote for "him". Barely say his name and definitely didn't call him my president. That being said, did I live and walk as a grown person who did not get my desired result. Yes.

As for the popular loss issue. I did vote for gore because I voted against George w. So yes, that shoe was also on the other foot, where indeed the election was called by the brother of the winner that was not my vote. I also did not riot, did not move, did not protest and also continued my life as a law abiding proud American that did not get my desired result.

I implore that America would be so "uneducated" as myself. And yet, therein lies the lack of education because in both formal education and common sense and iq, I am very educated. So educated that I can understand the differences of "entertaining a thought while still being able to reject it".

As for trump being racist, as well as his voters, dr Ben Carson is and has been his trusted advisor and will serve in the White House. I call this man, a man who worked his way through college from a middle class, broken home to become a world class, innovative brain surgeon. I did not and do not qualify that he is a black man, nor a Christian. His merits and skills identify him. But again, "republicans" put people in small, demographic boxes. I do not label myself or anyone. Not even "democrats". Think for yourself.

And to be sure, I disagree wholeheartedly w Carson there is never a circumstance for abortion, indeed I do believe there are situations where it is indeed the plausible answer. Yet, I respect his position and viewpoint with the highest regard. We have just had different life experiences. If I have held someone's brain in my hand, I have definitely earned the right to be respected of my opinion on human life.
Daisybasket, you have an interesting qualifier for judgement on abortions - holding a human brain.
My qualifiers have always been that you should 1) have or had have a uterus or 2) have at least one adopted child before you have a vote on abortion.
