When I was about 4 years old, we were out weeding the garden and I thought it would be a great idea to throw dirt in my brothers face and run away. Unfortunately, for this barefooted brat, there was a rake behind me and I stepped on it. Contrary to popular belief, they do not pop up and hit you in the face. They just go right through your foot. I cringe just looking at that photo.

Uzis are not for sale in any gun shops I've seen plus Uzi is too cliche. Gun folks will roll their eyes at that. ARs are very common and a fine American gun. Not some commie POS designed for the illiterate.

Non gun folk won't know one gun from another. Gun folks will and will scoff at the Uzi. They are very rare. For guns either go with what is common like the 870 shotgun or a Glock 19 (9mm) or go with something a little rarer but that gun folk appreciate like a 1911 pistol (.45) or a Benelli shotgun. And do not be like the author of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo: Glocks don't have safeties. Don't have someone say the safety is off their Glock. Also, the thing that goes in the pistol that holds the ammo is called a magazine. Not a clip.

You can buy a semi-automatic Uzi or AK 47 in any gun shop. I wouldn't buy an Uzi but you can. I'd go with the AK exactly because it was built for illiterates. The gun is the Nissan Sentra of the gun world. It just goes and goes. My only experience with the AR 15 would be the M16A1 and it was far from reliable. If you can't count on your rifle, its a bit of a problem.
