If there were an apocalypse, what type of weapons would you want?

In life threatening situations, it's always best to depend on complex gimmicks that look kool as hell.

Cool weapon. I was trying to see if it fired both at once or it was like a double barrel with two triggers. It didn't say and I can't tell from the pics. Either way, pretty neat, I'd love to take it to the range.

Never mind, the video shows two shells ejecting at once. Geez, that thing'll put a bull down in three seconds. Fires 16 .45's that quick.

870 (or the 1200) might be the most versatile - with the right barrel (or barrels, they take seconds to swap) you can go from bird shot to double ought to slugs. I believe with an extended tube and 3 inch double ought you have a greater rate of fire than an uzi. Double ought buck shot is I think around .33 caliber, 9 pellets to a round. And on a dark quiet night, when you want someone to just go away, just racking a round is a sound that will make most people think twice.
Here's my 3:

AK/SKS - pretty much idiot proof and will stand up to more abuse than any weapon around. Getting ammo could be a slight issue.

Remington 870 shot gun - tactical model, great for close in support

Springfield armory .45 or Ruger redhawk .357 - the .45 has a greater chance of 1 shot kill, the redhawk, will take just about any heavy handed round out there and laugh at it.

The big concern will be noise, first order of business is to reduce the report of all the guns as much as possible.
Or use loads of snares, deadfalls, pits, and traps to catch prey and get rid of unwanted "pests" ie. other people.
A K bar, throwing knives, katanas, and medium size swords will be of good use.

When I was in the Marine corps, a very long time ago, as a part of a recon platoon we carried the 1200 marine. We used no. 3 shot. We were told that it gave the best results when used during the Vietnam era. Happily, I never tested this myself.

DonDiego has no problem with chefantwon's selections.
Nonetheless, poor old DonDiego's research suggests that the .357Magnum Redhawk had a short production run in 1985 and 1985. They're a mite scarce. Oh, . . . and a pretty heavy handgun for a girl . . . to carry and to shoot.

On the other hand, . . . maybe a South Dakota girl could handle it.

DD, if you recall, any .357 will fire .38 cal rounds.
