If your Job got Relocated to Las Vegas?

No way! I wouldn't do it for one and only one reason. The summer time heat. I like visiting for a 2-3 day trip every other month but living there in the peak of summer time for 3-4 months straight would drive me insane. I could relate to the guy Vegas Rex when he wrote one time about the summer heat making him go loco.

First, I'd want to know how and why an entire high school is being relocated to the other side of the country.

I want to retire in Vegas, but aging parents would keep me in the South for the time being.

No, I don't think so. I like where I live. I like the change of seasons. And most of all, I live close to all my grandchildren.

The big reason to do it would be no state income taxes and low cost houses.

That being said, I would think you would only visit the strip if you had to work there or if you had out of town company visiting you.

I personally HATE where we live for health reasons, and the weather, and the work enviroment.
That being said, I would if say my spouse would be able to find a job also, since I like to be able to eat.

While I'm not a big fan of 100+ heat for 3 or so months, it is usually dry heat. I will take 105 degrees of dry heat over 90 degrees of very humid heat any day.

That chart says living in Vegas is 46% cheaper than NYC. I'm not so sure about that. I've many friends that have relocated and they say its about 30%.

So far, every town which DonDiego has plugged into the Cost of Living Calculator is more expensive than where he is. He's gonna stay put and make do with the intermittent utilities and heavy-metal-polluted water supply. What's the worst that could happen?
