I'm Back...with questions!!

Good to see you back around. Just the skyline with amaze you. Congrats on the marriage, you and your wife can go explore the "new" Vegas together.
Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions!! I know that one visit to VEGAS and my wife will be HOOKED!! We visit the casinos in Detroit about once a month....but there is nothing like being in Las Vegas and I can not wait to get her out there. (No more 10 years between visits!! I promise)
One thing that has changed, is that there are a ton more people competing for space...sidewalks, restaurants, and in some places the service is not nearly as solicitous as in the past. Tons of teen-somethings everywhere.

But that doesn't stop me. You'll love it still.
Ten years since you were there pretty much makes you a Newbie, too! You will be amazed at all the changes that have taken place in the past decade. Think of it as a first time visit all over again - with the advantage of already knowing the basic layout. Just try not to overload your wife on her first trip - remember that there is always so much more to do in Vegas than you ever have time for on a visit!
Things to see for free include the Bellagio fountains & Conservatory, Mirage volcano, Sirens of TI, the sculptures throughout the Aria property, and of course the shopping malls (of course they are only free if you leave your money in your pocket!).
Try to take in one big show - a Cirque production, one of the rotating headliners at the Coliseum at Caesar's Palace, or even Jubilee at Bally's (if you enjoy the old Vegas production numbers).
I'll second the vote for Human Nature - it's a great show with all the old Motown hits. Just ignore the tattered & unsightly Imperial Palace in general on your way to the theater. The theater is in better condition than the rest of the property would suggest.
I'd even suggest you take a Gondola ride through the Canal shoppes at the Venetian - it is a very unique way to view the property!

Good Point.....I actually do have the butterflys of a first timer again!! I know my wife's mind is going to be on overload!! I bet the first day/night is going to be a BLUR!!

As far as shows go....right now, I think we are going to try and see Mystere, Jubilee, and Terry Fader....??
Good Mix??

just like 10 years ago; don't try to do everything on 1 trip.
Great to see you still around BLADE!! I alway enjoyed reading your posts!! Back when I was here last time, Nesalk, Let it Ride, Mindbender, Darla, Julie G.....That was the crew. Looks like alot of newer people but still a good bunch!!

This will be our first of many trips back to vegas!! Thanks Again everyone for all the Great suggestions!!
Tee most of the posters you mentioned are no longer here. Blade just recently came back and he is also newly married. Occasionally some of the others will post on the free side. I haven't been to Vegas in over six years so I can't be of much help on the other front. Welcome back!

Great mix - a bit of everything! I'm sure you will enjoy them all. I think Jubilee still offers backstage tours a couple times a week, which may interest you if you want to see what goes into putting on a production like that. Terry Fator's show is fun. Try to get seats closer to the stage if you can - IMO, it really loses something in the translation if you can't see the ventriloquist's mouth!

Sounds like you'll have a great time!
Thanks Mist.....We were undecided as to wait and see if Tix2nite had tickets to see Fader or to order them early.....BUT, if we want closer to the stage....maybe we better get them early.

Hey DAWG!! Thanks for the welcome back.....I know time have been a bit hard on everyone....I know being from Michigan, I work for a parts supplier to the Big 3 and was just glad to keep my job....SO, Vegas had to wait. It is good to see some of the people I enjoyed talking with in the past are still here though.

Thanks Again everyone......maybe a new crowd but still a friendly place to visit!!
