I'm still in shock

We made the annual trip to PA's Bloomsburg Fair and of course we had to take a look at the giant pumpkins and this year they awarded the blue ribbon to two because they both weighed the same(1036 lbs). Can you believe it? I can't and to my knowledge this has never happened before in fair history. Amazing I tell 'ya.

Next they'll give every pumpkin a blue ribbon, because they are all winners and recognizing one discourages the others and harms their self-esteem.

Why do we need to give out blue ribbons. I'm sure every pumpkin tried their best to get big and fat.
