imperial palaca balcony

Hello all,

I read that some rooms at imperial palace have a balcony.
does someone know if this is a certain type of room so when you book you are sure you have one or is it that some rooms of all typres have a balcony and you are never sure that you have one or not.

Many thanks in advance for any info!
From the Question of the Day (QOD) on 1/9/2011 which asked "Are there any hotels in Vegas that have rooms with outdoor balconies?"

Imperial Palace: Penthouses have full-length patios; some of the deluxe rooms have balconies with a Strip view, but a balcony is not guaranteed when you book and the concierge we spoke with gave her honest opinion that they weren't much more than a ledge and wouldn't recommend anyone going out there.

Book a Deluxe Room and request one that is facing the Carnival Court. Those have balconies. I have stayed at many of them and they can provide some nice views. You can also listen to the music and watch the people below. The higher up you are the better.
If you get a balcony room, be careful of the track for the sliding door. Had a scary experience about 15 years ago in an eighth or ninth floor room where the track was 1/4" above the floor and hidden by the shag carpeting. Tripped going out, and recovered just before reaching the balcony railing, which was probably less than four feet high. Hopefully problems like that don't exist today.

I had a room facing east. Nice view of the boulder highway area. The "balcony" was nothing more than a few feet wide, enough for you to just stand but not enough to sit down. Was good, my friend could smoke outside (I don't smoke). Not sure what floor I was on, but was probably lower than 15 or so. With the maze I'm not sure which rooms have balconies and which are facing north/south/east/west, lol.

My first trip to Vegas was on a package deal at the IP. I gota rroom on the second floor overlooking the pool, which provided a nice view in mid August. The balcony was about 6 ft wide and 3 ft deep with a table and two chairs. It faced east, so it was in the shade by 2 in the afternnon. I spent time every day with a scotch in hand admiring the view. It was a solo trip, so I ended up ordering room service a couple of nights. Not only was the food good, but the prices were great. Another bonus to being on the second floor was that the elevator never took more than 15-20 getting there!!!!

Good Luck!

I had a deluxe room with one back in 2007. It faced inside with a view of other towers and roof tops. We walked out and it was too small to have chairs on and was also covered in bird crap. It was great for a little fresh air at night after a day in the smokey casinos.

had the penthouse suite last april. the balconies are huge. we had 2 suites one with a view and the other without. they are not bad, ours had like 5 day beds on it and a few chairs. cant complain to much for the price.
I'm pretty sure all the rooms at IP have balconies.
THANKS ALL!
