Imperial Palace

BK and I are planning a trip to Vegas in November for my 40th birthday. I got a great price at IP for the 5 nights. We stayed at IP on our last trip. We like having a balcony with the room.

My question...I know they have the construction going on next door but how much construction will they actually be doing at IP?? I'm just thinking about how this will affect our stay there.

Seems to me that if it's too noisy for your comfort, a simple "complaint" at the front desk should find them willing to accomodate your request for a room change.

I suspect that in November they won't work at night. I doubt there's any way to know what you want to know, at least until October.

You might consider staying at Rio. Some very good rates are available (and should be for November, depending). It's become my favorite of the CET properties, as a hotel. No balcony, but the windows are HUGE, taking up the entire wall of a large suite, giving something of the same feel.

November wouldn't be my favorite time for a balcony. The mornings will be somewhat chilly, and there's definitely some weather in Nov.
I was there in January and talked to fellow who had a room over carnival court (where the deconstruction was going on) and he was being moved because of the noise at night. Don't think you will have any problems requesting a move.

?? I was there the first week of Febr., and Carnival Court looked exactly the same as it always has. All sidewalks in the area were exactly the same as always. There were no changes at O'Shea's, nor to the entrance of IP.
Imperial Palace is not worth $5 a night. Live it up for your birthday and don't worry about a couple extra dollars.
OK, here's a photo from a few weeks ago:

It's odd that I walked through that entire area and didn't notice anything. The article says they've already demo'd 90 Capri rooms.
Depending what time you check in and what rooms are available you may be lucky enough to get a room on the complete other side of the hotel from the construction.

Enjoy the balcony and enjoy BK

What time in Nov are you guys going cause I always go for at least 1 week that time of year.

Ohhhhhh.......BTW....... Have a GREAT 40th.
Hey VB....You guys will have a great time where you go!!
I will be coming out for the nascar race and staying at the IP. One of the things I like about it is the access to the parking garage from the rear. Does anyone know if those streets are closed due to the construction?
