Has anyone been there in the past week or so? I am scheduled to check in on Aug 1 but Im starting to hear a lot of things mainly about power outages, so Im wondering if I should book at harrahs. Any help Please Thanks Pattie
My wife and I did stay there a couple of times. We liked it because it wasn;t too big and it's center of the strip. Funny, we did experience a brief power outage but was told by some that it wasn't uncommon.
Elevators are slow...just don't be in a hurry. If you get a room facing the carnival court, you can hear music until 2 or 3 in the morning... We enjoyed it.
Thanks for the info. My sister and I like it for the same reasons and we are not in the room long just a shower and power nap. Gone are my days of high heels and dresses getting old stinks! The IP is perfect.
There are several elevators that get less traffic. Immediately behind the main bank of elevators are a couple more that most folks forget about. The set at the very back requires a bit of walking...past the elevator that goes to the auto museum. I find it most useful when you want to go down, not up. I like the IP because of it's location. Haven't stayed there since the Linq demolition and construction started but when I did stopped by the casino in May, the noise was terrible during the day. Will be interested in your comments as I have a reservation there for November.
We might switch over to Harrahs I like playing at the IP so there is always the back way from Harrahs to the IP which I use all the time. I love the IP but not sure about the stay in 2 weeks. I enjoyed going down to the little coffee shop in the back of the IP next to the gift shop I hope thats still there. Ill make sure when I get back I post. hmmmm wonder with all the work being done if theres any little creatures roaming around!
Be careful walking between the IP and Harrahs the small walkway is crowded at times . I was there last week walking behind a lady going toward Harrahs and a lady walking the other way tried to reach inside her purse of course the lady thought she was only just bumped into because of the crowd. Once I alerted her to what just happened she held her purse alot closer and tighter after that. Just be careful it seems like it could be a pick pocket or purse snatchers paradise people are so close bumping into each other it seems normal.
OMG! Thank You fo the info. 2 yrs ago I was followed from the pool to my floor, the ligaments in my knee were tore so I used a cane and brace. This guy got off the elevator and started talking to me Lucky for me I had enough street smarts to avoid going near my room and slowly got back to elevator. First door that opened I got in i do believe if I would have opened my door he would have pushed his way in Funny I never knew i was being followed. Everyone thanks for the info!
