In N Out Burger

I like my burgers and my fries "Animal Style". I also prefer my fries well done which means they cook them a little longer and they are crispier.
We didn't care for the fries either until we started ordering them "well done". Hubby and I will order 2 burgers and one order of fries. Seems you get more fries when they are a special order. Hate a floppy fry.
Carls Jr. hamburgers are char-broiled while In N' Out are fried on a grill. I like char-broiled better than fried. The only problem with Carls Jr. is sometimes you don't get one that was just made, while at In N' Out they are always just off of the grill.
I LOVE the melted goodness that is a double double but also LOVE Smashburger's meat. What a combo THAT would be. As for fries, you should taste the yukon gold potato fries Arctic Circle makes; don't like their burgers but LOVE those buttery, tender, golden fries. YUM!!!

Give me a Bison Burger from Ted's Montana Grill....

On the East Coast, we don't have them or Carl Jrs. For the value, I prefer Carl Jrs. IN and Out is quite good, but I like Carl Jrs better.
Don't care for I&Os fries.

In the South, Carls JR is the same as Hardees. They have the same menu and logo and are owned by the same company.

Good burgers around here are at Five Guys and Steak-N-Shake.

We don't need no stinkin burgers here is Georgia, we got chili dogs, rings and an orange freeze at The Varsity

They recently opened a SmashBurger in the suburb of Atlanta, where I live. Tonight I decided to give it a try. This was my first and last time going there.

My complaint was that the bun was way too small for the burger. The burger was greasy and kept sliding off the bun. The Haystack Onion rings were over seasoned with pepper. When I sat down they were out of Sweet Tea and they didn't restock it until I was half done with my meal, and then it didn't taste quite right. And to top it all off, the price was high for what you got. I won't be going to a SmashBurger again.
I had such a crappy meal at In and Out the last time I went to California. I don't think I ever want to go back. I don't even know how they accomplished a warm milkshake.
The one behind (to the west) of NYNY was good but soooooo busy the afternoon we where there. We got lucky and got a table that seats 4 when we have 5 in our clan....

Great food though....
My hubby is a burger person...me, not so much. He was ok with InO, I just don't get the attraction, but, hey, that's just my opinion. I will say the fries, and you must order them well done, are very good.
