I was behind you in line and the clerk said you did not impress him.

Funny you should mention In N Out. Yesterday on the Yahoo home page they had an articole about a person from back east that was going to try on for the first time. Reading the article it made me hungry forone of their burgers and shakes. But it was only 9:30 am and I didn't know if they'd be open or not, so I got in the car to make the 3 miles drive to grab a burger. I get to the drive in window only t find out they didn't open until 10:30......bumer.

By the way billyan, if you like Carl' Jr. so much, let t be known that back east they go under the name of Hardee's. The only problem I have with In N Out is the fries. Since they are the skinny cut, they cool off too fast.
Oops, missed that, my bad.
They don't have Hardees in the NY area either. I think its mostly down south. They were on Long Island many years ago, but got bought out by Roy Rogers in the late 1970s and then Wendy's bought Roy's a few years later.
Hardees used to have a Husky Burger that blew the Whopper away.

Edit- I stand corrected. Hardees has begun opening stores in NY/NJ. Still don't have one by me, though. The closest is a good twenty miles away in an area of Brooklyn I rarely travel to.
It figures. Now that i am moving to Vegas, Carl Jrs/Hardees will open near my old neighborhood.

I ate there twice and felt it was nothing special

Try ordering the fries 'well done'. They're a little crispy and stay hotter longer.

I thought the animal style fries started out great but ended up a soggy mess. I will try them well done.
In N Out feeds almost all of the people coming off of the Rose Parade. This includes all of the bands, equestrian riders and float riders. They also feed all of the bands at Bandfest. I've never seen a contracted company be able to produce food that fresh and that hot when needed. We give fruit and potato chips in lieu of fries. We talked about going to Pink's Hot Dogs one year and it was shot down immediately. All of the easterners loved In N Out.
for fast food, it is not bad. I go to the one by the Orleans.
There is one close off of w trop between Orleans and the strip, however I agree. It is just fast food and not worth the walk, the cab ride or walking through the colorful area of w flamingo. It is on the sketchy side with many homeless and adult stores. I do eat there from time to time when needing fast food. But it is just fast food. Nothing life changing.
