Now about me being entitled:

  • I have never received welfare, unlike Rush Limbaugh.
  • I never had Social Security finance my college education, unlike Paul Ryan.
  • I've never had the taxpayers pay for a stadium, unlike Jeb!
  • I remained eligible for the draft, unlike Mitt Romney who escaped it by going to France.
  • I never received an affirmative action for white guys admission to Yale or Harvard, unlike George W. Bush.
  • I've never gone to federal court to escape my debts, unlike Donald Trump (4x).
  • My employer provided health insurance isn't subsidized (although it is non-taxable compensation).
  • I don't even have an Obamaphone.

And regarding digging up your past idiocies, stop lying about me or I'll keep telling the truth about you.

  • The class action lawsuit you filed was just an attempt to get your dollar back from Redbox?
Clearly Bob, this is not an area of great expertise for you. Don't worry though, you'll always be the go-to guy for information on trailer park living.

You have to be kidding me. You file a frivilous lawsuit that only clogs up the coourts with the millions of other bullshit suits and you respond by making some half ass insult?...
Well I thought it was a full assed insult, so now I'm hurt.

But the U.S. Supreme Court begs to differ with you when it comes to litigating otherwise individually insignificant claims in a class action. The Supremes say the class actions increase efficiency, economy, are convenient, and reduce redundancy in our courts. As a result, they unclog our courts.

So class action lawsuits have their place. So do trailer parks. To each our own, right?

Clearly Bruce, you felt you were entitled to much more than your dollar back from Redbox.

As much as some people try to demean and stereotype people who live in mobile home parks, I'm neither ashamed nor embarrassed about living in one. I paid cash for my home. My annual property taxes are about $6. It is a seniors MHP, a natural neighborhood watch environment as most of the residents are retired and home during the day (and night). We know and watch out for our neighbors. It is the safest neighborhood I've ever lived in!
You know Bob, stranger danger is overrated. If you're found murdered tomorrow, the most likely suspect is the person you slept with the night before.
Nope. Not in my safe neighborhood, and I don't know what kind of people you sleep with.

Your suit was seeking a class certification, meaning there was no legally recognized class at the time of filing. Those who you thought were entitled to refunds (your definition of the class submitted for classification) were "all current Nevada residents who, as customers of Coinstar, reserved DVD, Blu Ray or video game rentals through Redbox’s online reservation system within the last four years." Didn't matter if those people experienced a problem. Sic the lawyers on the company on behalf of everyone the company did online reservation business with because Bruce thought he was unfairly charged an extra dollar for a Redbox rental.

Bruce Forkish, and his attorneys of record, Don Springmeyer, Esq. of the law firm of Wolf, Rifkin, Shapiro, Schulman & Rabkin, LLP, and Robert B. Gerard, Esq. of the law firm 2 *2 of Gerard & Associates, dismissed this action in its entirety without prejudice less than three months after the initial suit was filed.

You still haven't told us if you got your dollar back from Redbox (or Coinstar)....

Wow, I have my very own stalker! And I'm old enough to remember when BobOrme threatened a federal lawsuit when he was accused here of being racist. So much needless lawsuits, huh? I'm also old enough to remember when the word-of-the-day for all the right wingers was "deflection." Deflect much, Bob?

Anyway, Redbox changed their policy, probably saving consumers millions over the last few years. The system worked. You know Bob, like the way the system worked when Obama ended up in the White House and you ended up in a trailer park.
Trump has never filed for bankruptcy. Limbaugh hasn't been on welfare for years & Ryan saved his SS money to pay for college - sounds responsible to me.

What's the worst that could happen?

DonDiego's content to be a'livin' a comfortable distance from a Big City; since the mid-20th century, cities is where the chaos and rioting show up first. By the time any rioters and hooligans make it to Middle Appalachia, they's likely to be plumb tuckered out.

As long as it ain't a'freezin' weather the Tomato Ridge Ranch should be quite livable, . . . and DonDiego's got enough trees to heat his humble home for one Winter if'n that becomes necessary.

    Life is Good.

    Yep 1929 was bad.

But then we elected a socialist president, and re-elected him three more times. Things got better.

Calling Roosevelt a socialist by todays standards is a stretch at best.

Why was he so popular? Was it the SEC? the Wagner act? The FDIC? HELL NO, it was the repeal of prohibition!

I will give him my greatest praise for the CCC, you know, the program where men HAD TO WORK to relive them from poverty.

Would his programs had continued to work if it had not been for WWII? Very unlikely.

Yep, working for a gubmint check. Imagine that. The massive projects such as the TVA and of course the massive Hoover dam, which we've probably all been to and equally amazed. A project that actually came in under budget and ahead of schedule!, a feat that is a foreign concept to today's govt. contracts that are always over budget and behind schedule. Rry and make somone work (able-bodied) today and there'd be a huge uproar, hell, can't even get 'em to pee in a cup to get their check.

Back when I was a kid old Democrats would claim that Roosevelt's New Deal programs rescued us from the Great Depression and old Republicans would claim that it was World War II that finally defeated the Great Depression.

Without realizing it, what both sides agreed upon was that it was government stimulus spending that did the trick. Government make-work jobs, whether from the New Deal or the from the war, jump started the economy into recovery and then into growth.

It sounds like you agree with that, CowboyKell. So in the primary, are you voting for Bernie or Hillary?
And the post WW2 driver was the private sector.
