Income Inequality

As usual forky tells a slanted story. The Taj & Plaza are casinos under the Trump casino & then trump entertainment group. You can't count them individually. AC has been in trouble for years & almost every casino has had to file for bankruptcy or close.

And an airline went out of business, that hardly ever happens.

Four bankruptcies and an airline that was forced into liquidation? And a fraudulent university. Name one other "successful businessman" with such a stellar record.

And when Lincoln and Truman ran for president, they didn't do so based on their business acumen. But other than accusing Obama of being born in Kenya, that's all Trump's got.

Clearly Bob, this is not an area of great expertise for you. Don't worry though, you'll always be the go-to guy for information on trailer park living.

Clearly Bruce, you felt you were entitled to much more than your dollar back from Redbox.

As much as some people try to demean and stereotype people who live in mobile home parks, I'm neither ashamed nor embarrassed about living in one. I paid cash for my home. My annual property taxes are about $6. It is a seniors MHP, a natural neighborhood watch environment as most of the residents are retired and home during the day (and night). We know and watch out for our neighbors. It is the safest neighborhood I've ever lived in!
You know Bob, stranger danger is overrated. If you're found murdered tomorrow, the most likely suspect is the person you slept with the night before.
Nope. Not in my safe neighborhood, and I don't know what kind of people you sleep with.

Those who you thought were entitled to refunds (your definition of the class submitted for classification) were "all current Nevada residents who, as customers of Coinstar, reserved DVD, Blu Ray or video game rentals through Redbox’s online reservation system within the last four years." Didn't matter if those people experienced a problem. Sic the lawyers on the company on behalf of everyone the company did online reservation business with because Bruce thought he was unfairly charged an extra dollar for a Redbox rental.

Bruce Forkish, and his attorneys of record, Don Springmeyer, Esq. of the law firm of Wolf, Rifkin, Shapiro, Schulman & Rabkin, LLP, and Robert B. Gerard, Esq. of the law firm 2 *2 of Gerard & Associates, dismissed this action in its entirety without prejudice less than three months after the initial suit was filed.

You still haven't told us if you got your dollar back from Redbox (or Coinstar)....
Wow, I have my very own stalker! And I'm old enough to remember when BobOrme threatened a federal lawsuit when he was accused here of being racist. So much needless lawsuits, huh? I'm also old enough to remember when the word-of-the-day for all the right wingers was "deflection." Deflect much, Bob?

Anyway, Redbox changed their policy, probably saving consumers millions over the last few years. The system worked. You know Bob, like the way the system worked when Obama ended up in the White House and you ended up in a trailer park.

You may or may not "have my very own stalker". Someone else sent me a link to your lawsuit.

If/when someone slanders or libels me, they get a warning. Not a threat. You got charged an extra dollar for a movie rental and you filed a law suit...obviously the same thing.

Deflection....you still haven't answered the question that I've asked maybe 4 times. Did you get your dollar back from Redbox?

How expected is it that a leftist would use a thread to attack the perceived income inequality of the rich to also proudly insult a poor person for being poor? I am poor Bruce, and I live in a trailer park. You reprimanded John for calling your insult to me half assed, insisting it was full assed. Your own words show that you don't give a flying fuck about poor people.

Trump has had scores of highly successful real estate developments....billions in assets. He has employed 10's of thousands of people. How many non government jobs has Hillary created? Can she even read a balance sheet? But then Hillary isn't running on being a successful businesswoman....since she's never even run a lemonade stand for a profit.

She ran the State Department for 4 years...so maybe we can examine those accomplishments in lieu of any private sector successes . Hillary pressed the Reset Button with Russia....Russia Annexes Crimea....Relations at multi year low. Check. She called Syria's Assad a 'reformer' but also supported his overthrow. How has that worked out? Nearly Failed nation state and terrorist haven. Check. She supported military intervention in Libya and Gadhafi's overthrow. Democrary in Libya? No....Another Failed nation state and terrorist haven. Check. And to go back just a little further, let's never forget her vote authorizing the Iraq War boondoggle. Check and Mate.

I'd guess we'd have to conclude that Hillary is a much worse diplomat than Trump is a businessman. That's not surprising. Nothing in her background should have led anyone to believe she was qualified to run the US State Department. Just like nothing she's done should make anyone think she is qualified to be President. At least Bobby Knight endorsed The Donald.

Sounds familiar. About two years ago someone sent me a link that exposed CowboyKell's identity. It didn't occur to me to discuss it on this forum, and I contacted Cowboy and let him know that his privacy may have been compromised. Several months ago Roulette Man's identity was exposed because of an errant privacy setting on a photo hosting site. I let him know about it, and I didn't consider exposing his personal information here. (In a moment of weakness I did google him however - pretty accomplished guy buy the way - but that's all I'll say.) That's how I roll. And frankly Bob, I like how I roll better than how you roll.

I already said that there's a place for class action suits and there's a place for trailer parks, and I meant it. You tried to turn me into a caricature of an overly litigious person, so I returned the favor and turned you into a trailer park caricature. I thought you'd figure that out. Maybe you should get some self-awareness; it doesn't cost anything you know.

Actually I do give a fuck about the poor, but it's hard to sympathize with a turkey who votes for Thanksgiving. I just looked it up and the poor in your state pay almost double the combined state and local tax rate compared with the top 1%, and you're just fine with that, aren't you? And you've accused liberals on this board, just about anyone with a "D" after their name, gays, and Muslims of being mentally ill, unpatriotic, perverted, and criminal, among other things. Sorry if I hurt your feelings, but if you can't stand the heat, stop being an asshole.

And there are people who would refer to you as a "loser." I'm not one of them. But the guy you're planning on voting for in November is.

Making excuses for your behavior, trying to deflect it back on me. Classic Bruce! Your reputation for being a DailyKos radical leftist has been long known to those who pay attention, and it doesn't involve violating anyone's privacy. My screen name here is my real name. That's how I roll.

More classic Bruce, trying to put me on the defensive for something I didn't do. I didn't try "to turn me into a caricature of an overly litigious person". I pointed out that you have filed what sure looks like one frivolous lawsuit while railing against others that use the system for perceived personal gains. Your lawyers dismissed the suit. You still haven't answered the question: Did you get your dollar back from Redbox? ...and since you appear to be a bit paranoid about litigious actions, was the Coinstar lawsuit the only lawsuit you have ever filed? I could do a search if I actually was a stalker....

You didn't hurt my feelings Bruce. I'm happy that I have a home. Some might refer to me as a loser. I have lost some things...the tri-level townhouse that I had been buying for 22 years to foreclosure in 2010. The recession slammed both of my jobs. Both of my jobs. There have been a few very short periods of time over the last 30+ years that I have only worked one job. Both jobs (I still work them) are still at extremely depressed levels of both pay scale and demand. I've applied for other work multiple times. Businesses looking to hire new employees do not hire 63-year-old white guys, unless the applicant for the position to be filled has extremely specific experience, and many years of said experience. Geezers requiring any level of training, even for working at a grocery store or convenience store, need not apply.

I don't know anyone in this forum who has a "D" after their name. I do believe liberalism is a mental disorder. You own inability to see any conflicts contained within your own posts reinforce that belief. The list is long, but claiming that you actually care about poor people is destroyed when the care is predicated on the poor person wantonly and willing being a slave to Democrats who promise them a better life. You want to keep people in the chains of dependency on the government. Trying to keep those chains from ruling a poor person's life is reason for ridicule from you.

I also recall reading a bit on Trump making the Central Park Ice rink back under budget and ahead of schedule. Small project but the guy seems to know how to get stuff done and obvioulsy make money. The Fed budget is another story, we'd see .

The rink was closed in 1980 for a proposed two years of renovations at $9.1 million. Six years and $13 million later, after the problem-plagued work was still not completed by the city, Donald Trump persuaded Mayor Ed Koch in 1986 to let him complete the work in four months at $2.5 million in order to have it open by the end of the year.[3][4] Koch initially objected to Trump's proposal when Trump offered to pay for the renovations himself with the stipulation that he be allowed to run the venue and an adjacent restaurant and use the profits to recoup his costs. Public pressure prompted Mayor Koch to reverse his position.[5] The rink reopened to the public on November 13, 1986, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and press conference attended by Koch and Trump, covered by national evening broadcast television news.[6][7] Total cost of renovations by Trump came in under budget at $2.25 million.
  • Trump Taj Mahal - Bankrupt
  • Trump Plaza Hotel - Bankrupt
  • Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts - Bankrupt
  • Trump Entertainment Resorts - Bankrupt
  • Trump University - a "massive scam" (National Review)
  • Trump Airlines - defaulted and surrendered to creditors

    This is a partial list.

  • University-I don't know much about but sounds fishy
Airline-Yea, a flop. How many successes compared to that?

My opinion of you forky as well as respect has always been pretty high. It's dropped a few notches, I missed this post.

Ironic. My oldest brother lives in a trailer "down by the river". No kidding. He has all kinds of money, can live anywhere he wants, but he loves where he is. His boat is a few steps away, great neighbors he really has it all. It's all perspective. While trailer park trash is sometimes accurate, it can oftentimes be misleading.
