Income Inequality

Best I can tell, in 1999 the combined federal and NY State estate taxes would have consumed $150 of Fred Trump's fortune, leaving approximately $50 million to be split between Donald and his siblings. In the whole scheme of things, the $13 million he would have inherited was insignificant.

Gee, what happened to Trump's daddy's millions of dollars? Did he donate it to PETA?

So Billy is again complaining about my post, without pointing out what he disagrees with. How interesting.

Cost of doing business, whether the local, state or national businessman, if you want a politicians ear you thought that was free!? And you think Trumps the only one? bwahahaha

I have to agree, what's the point Billy? Other than to somehow find yet another way, another angle to bust boilers balls? Gettin' as lame and boring as lurker dave incessant busting on boiler. I have to say, you actually do say some other very pertinent things.

And your defense of someone who openly brags about buying political influence is....."other people do it too so no big deal"? OK then. Please spare us any future lectures about Hillary's scummy, insider behavior.

Oh man, spare me your defense of scummy Hillary already. Trump wasn't bragging he was pointing out what everyone in the entire universe already knows, politicians ears are open to those who funnel money there way, be it in the form of relection donations, elaborate fees for speaking engagements or the hundred other ways money can reach a candidate/politician. Tell me I'm wrong here, I dare you to try and correct where I'm wrong or Trump was wrong for pointing out that politicians are bought each and every day. Think the NRA doesn't have a few ears that listen on the hill?, how about the pharmeceutical industry? They might possibly have a say in a few things. How about Soros? Adelson? the Kochs? Shall I keep going?

Trump was making a point how he was self funding so special interests weren't for him (Reality? maybe, maybe not). How about scummy Hillary? Think GS's paid her a bunch of money to see her latest pantsuit? All the donors to her super PAC? How aboiut those guys, think they won't be asking for an audience at some point in the future(if she even gets in the WH), what about those guys? Why do you think big money donors give to both sides of the aisle, because they feel so generous?

Bragging... PFFFT!
Donald Trump knows a guy who knows a guy...

"On the 24th floor of Trump Tower, in an office two floors below Donald Trump, Felix Sater was trying to revive his career. The Russian-born businessman had already done a stint in prison for stabbing a man in the face with the stem of a margarita glass, and he was now awaiting sentencing for his role in a Mafia-orchestrated stock fraud scheme — all the while serving as a government informant on the mob and mysterious matters of national security.

But Sater and his business partners had an idea: They would build Trump towers in U.S. cities and across the former Soviet bloc. Sater pitched it to Trump, who gave Sater’s company rights to explore projects in Moscow as well as in Florida and New York.

“Anybody can come in and build a tower,” Sater told potential investors, according to testimony in a 2008 court case. “I can build a Trump Tower, because of my relationship with Trump.”

Sater’s “Trump card,” as he called it, didn’t work everywhere. The Moscow deal fell apart. But their relationship continued — though just how close they were is now in dispute."
