Indian casino screws another player!!!

WINB STAR in Thackerville, Oklahoma (near Dallas) screwed another winner!!

There is a side bet for a suited blackjack. Well, I was playing blackjack at this table where a player at 1st base was betting the side bet.

It wass 7:58 when he was delt an A-K of diamonds. The player let out a big yell that he had won the bet. The pit boss was tied up inputting player cards at another table. (This bet is no longer accepted after 8:00 pm.)

When the pit boss got to our table it was after 8:00. He said he would not pay it as it was after 8:00 pm and he would not sign a ticket after 8:00pm. There was a loud howl from our table (everyone at the table would have gotten a bonus).

Another pit boss was consulted and agreed. They did not even give the player his bet back.

Another player screwed by an Indian Casino!!!

Aside: Oklahoma screws blackjack players anyway! They collect a 5% ante before each hand of blackjack.

And you still donate there?
Living in northern Okla. I haven't played in any casinos in southern part of the state. Casinos around Tulsa and near the Missouri line are competing for business by waiving the ante per hand at table games.

A side note of interest, A new casino planned in Broken Arrow is being protested by its homeowner neighbors. It turns out it is Indian land but the enities putting the plan together are proffesional gaming companies that has no Indian connections other than using the tribes land and name in acquiring the right to build and operate the casino.
have never set foot in an Indian casino and probably never will

I would think that it was videotaped and with a timer showing the exact time.
However, they probably (conveniently) won't be able to find that now because it was taped-over.

Also wondering if the Pit Boss intentionally waited, since he probably guessed from the "player let out a big yell",
and other commotion and celebrating at the table, that a Suited Blackjack had just been hit.
Although the money wouldn't come out of his pocket, some people are real company men.

Being surrounded by Injin Casinos since they started down here in North Cuba I have yet to set my foot in one.

I have friends who are Seminoles & Miccosukees but I will not contribute one red penny to their so called "casinos".

When is the next plane leaving for Biloxi ?

North Cuba.....lol!!!
Each Native American Casino has it's own commission where disputes of this nature can be filed.
I would suggest contacting them immediately and request that tapes from that table and time be saved (most places hold tapes for 24 hours to 7 days, but NA casino's may vary). In disputes of this nature, the time stamp on record at the start of the hand will determine if the hand started prior to 8pm. Start of hand is (usually) defined by the first card being dealt in most casinos. NA casino may very, but their commission should be able to render a fair ruling and give definition to their 'start of hand'.
How much would the bettors bonus (and envy bonus) have been?
If a casino offers a side bet on a BJ game, most likely the bet is placed inside a circle imprinted on the felt. If the casino chooses to only offer the bet during certain hours, then that table should close down when the bet is not available or in worst case scenario, the pit boss should approach the table before 8:00 and announce only one, two, etc. more hand(s) with the side bet. No different than when they tell you that table limits will be raised on the next shoe.

I am with the others that have never set foot in an Indian Casino and have no plans of doing so.
