Whats the lie? What tax are you paying for now that you weren't before? Do tell.

It seems like your blaming Obama for provisions that only exist in the GOP plan
billyboy, you got a source on your song and dance about the military kids?

And now the adults have to try to fix what the mopes gave us. And PJ and others would be happy if the country forgot that detail. So let me ask the comrades.....what would YOU GUYS do to fix the fiasco known as Obamanation care? Lol, you always want to know how the adults will fix YOUR creation, how would YOU fix it?

Well now - this is just beautiful. Republicans now want to "fix" Obamacare instead of repeal and replace - just like Democrats have been saying all along. I'm beginning to think the election results were the best possible outcome on the specific topic of healthcare - because Republicans actually have to put forward ideas that work and will be measured. And they cant just scream "Free Market" at the top of their lungs.

I'm not in charge Fritz, but I wont give nebulous, bullshit answers like you did for 8 years. There's lots of ways you can fix Obamacare. Here's just a handful:
- Put everyone on the exchanges so you don't have one market for employer based insurance and one for Individuals.
- Let Medicare negotiate drug prices
- Pay doctors based on the number of patients they treat instead of ala-carte for every test and procedure they perform. (Like almost every other industrialized country does)
- Bring back the IPAB that shares and implements best practices and efficiencies from the county's leading providers on those points (You'll remember it as the Obamacare Death Panel)
- Force healthcare providers to charge one price for their procedures instead of allowing them to negotiate ten different prices with ten different insurance companies. You're not buying a car.
- Best idea of all: Get rid of the completely useless INsuance Companies that do nothing except rake in billions of dollars and provide no service one could not get from Medicare.

I argued all along that the PROMISED savings would never happen. They have not. That has led to the inevitable increase in taxes on the middle class, which Obama and friends assured would never happen................"Not one dollar!"

Tax increase that were promised not to happen

The plan is still bleeding money, and more taxes are to come. Why didn't anyone listen to me? Well, quite frankly, it's because Democrats wanted their plan at literally any cost.

As long as the focus is only on insurance the costs will continue to skyrocket, and there doesn't seem to be even a tiny bit of effort into looking at the wider problems.

Take a look at these prices around the world for medical procedures compared to US costs;
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2013/03/26/21-graphs-that-show-americas-health-care-prices-are-ludicrous/?utm_term=.9514c21c7ec3
And if you want to read more about the "why", try this;
https://www.investopedia.com/articles/personal-finance/072116/us-healthcare-costs-compared-other-countries.asp

Y'all can argue all you want on who's fault it is but unless we make some fundamental changes things are not going to get any better.

Really? The individual mandate was a fine print line item in Obamacare that nobody knew about until now? That's your big "wealth redistribution" story? I'm still waiting for you to show me where Democrats or posters on this board said th3e cost savings in Obamacare paid for all of it.

In the meantime your small government Republicans are secretly embracing many of the "Big government takeover" provisions that they told you to get upset about under Obamacare. I suspect you'll warm up to them much more as soon as Republicans tell you its ok. That's generally how it works

- Put everyone on the exchanges so you don't have one market for employer based insurance and one for Individuals. - THE EXCHANGES HAVE GONE BANKRUPT, SO LETS PUTS EVERYONE ON THIS SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM

- Let Medicare negotiate drug prices - THE GOVT HAS A LONG HISTORY OF BEING A POOR NEGOTIATOR

- Pay doctors based on the number of patients they treat instead of ala-carte for every test and procedure they perform. (Like almost every other industrialized country does) - DOCTORS THEN BECOME PATIENT MILLS; NEGLECTING CARE AS IT BECOMES MORE PROFITABLE TO JUST CRANK AS MANY PATIENTS AS POSSIBLE THRU THE DAY

- Bring back the IPAB that shares and implements best practices and efficiencies from the county's leading providers on those points (You'll remember it as the Obamacare Death Panel) - THIS WAS DESIGNED TO RATION CARE

- Force healthcare providers to charge one price for their procedures instead of allowing them to negotiate ten different prices with ten different insurance companies. You're not buying a car. THEY HAVE TO CHARGE DIFFERENT PRICES BECAUSE MEDICAID & MEDICARE REIMBUREMENTS ARE SO LOW

- Best idea of all: Get rid of the completely useless INsuance Companies that do nothing except rake in billions of dollars and provide no service one could not get from Medicare. MEDICARE IS RIDDLED WITH FRAUD & HAS A MULTI-TRILLION UNFUNDED LIABILITY ALREADY. LETS MAKE THE LIABILITY WORSE. IN ADDITION IT HAS BEEN SHOWN MULTIPLE TIMES THAT MEDICAL INSURNCE IS AMONG THE LEAST PROFITABLE INDUSTRIES
The Republican plan that was revealed yesterday has a backdoor individual mandate. I guess they think by dropping the name, their supporters will be fooled again.
According to the draft, anyone who doesn't keep continuous coverage will pay a 30 percent premium hike as a penalty. That's actually more draconian then todays Obama care penalty.
Basing tax credits on age rather than income seems stupid.
How does a 55 year old rich person need them more than a 25 year old.

So you agree with Republicans that Obamacare needs to be Repealed and Replaced. It's just you want to replace it with Nationalized Health Insurance.
